[ accidental video / canon update ]

[ The video feed opens up to what looks like the inside of an abandoned ruin. Yuri, Rita, and the rest of the party can be seen walking in. ]

[ ooc: 3:13 to the end of the video. The feed cuts just as Yuri stands to face the monster. As usual, replies will come an hour or so later, after the fight is over. Replies will come both from Yuri and Rita (blahblahblah) ]

[ But then the video stops and BOOO. She gives a disappointed look that it ended so soon. What is she going to do for the next half hour, huh? ]

You look disappointed, your highness. [ He wasn't even fazed at this. The community did this to him enough. ]

Hm. Guess that would be kinda boring. If it isn't obvious, we made it out just fine.

That thing was tough though. We barely made a dent for it decided to just leave us alone. [ Made it even less fun since a good portion of the fight he had to take it on alone. ]

... You must have not given it an entertaining fight if it decided to leave you alone. [ She can sympathize. ]

[ He just sighed. ] If that's the case, then that's fine by me. I'd rather not fight something like when the aer's that heavy. The barrier holding it back must have driven it nuts. [ He looked at her, before speaking up, as if he just remembered something. ]

...It didn't have any poisonous claws either.

That is what I was going to ask next. [ A shake of the head. ] It is too soon to expect any results, regardless.

Yeah, I guess. Not that I want that thing walking around outside either. But, it got away. No point in chasing it. [ He smirked at her response. Yeah, give him a little more time, please. ]

Monsters are common in your world too, huh?

Leave it alone, and it shall return. Perhaps as a sidequest in the future. [ Or maybe she can assign him to defeat it or something as a task. ]

[ Lazily: ] Literally or metaphorically? I imagine monsters to be anywhere there is intelligence.

I mean literally, over-grown-pets-who-eat-people, monsters.

I hardly think the question even necessary. [ Because she did mention there were dragons in her world, right? ] However, yes there are a number those that prey and eat people.

[ He figured as much, but hey, gotta make sure. ] And you guys don't have any special way of protecting yourselves against them? We've got the barrier blastia, at least. [ Which kind of got destroyed, and, you know, that's why they had to fight that thing. ]

You don't really look like much of a fighter.

That... contraption that was shown in the video? Blastia, was it? No, there is nothing like that here... at least not to my knowledge. There are only those that are strong enough to stand up to such monsters.

Well, outside of the cities, that's all we have too. Knights, guilds, whoever decides to fight. Kinda unsettling to know that monsters this big are outside the barrier's protection, though.

Not usually. This one looked a little weird, like it was already malfunctioning. It was making the environment around it pretty unstable too.

Besides, our princess over here knows how to fight with a sword and heal with magic.

I'm so grateful for your faith in us, Sena. But we didn't. It just kind of left us alone after it calmed down. It was...pretty weird.
