[Yay, surviving cause she's a little kid! Hayate nodded as she swam around, still holding onto Karen but now her hands were trailing lower to her waist so she could turn around carefully.]

Did I scare you? I was pretty stealthy there!

[No, no you weren't Hayate, but we'll forgive your lack of being Solid Snake.]

Hehe! Can I sit on your lap, Oneechan? [Putting all of that cute to good use as she holds onto Karen cause, well, she can't kick her legs to keep afloat after all.]

All right. [She does have a lot of cute. It's very useful.] Have you been having a good time?

[Cute is useful, it's why she retained this even into adulthood. Settling down carefully she nodded.] I love it here! The water's not too deep and I can keep myself afloat with my arms. And it feels really good on my legs.

Comfortable, isn't it? The water, that is. Though if you think my lap is comfortable, too, that's fine. [Karen don't say things that will sound different when you remember them later.]
