[There's nothing on Perrine's end for a moment, but seconds afterwards, the bookshelves near Haruhi would begin to light up in the color of pink. Individual books at first but then it expands into a shimmering doorway of light.

And from it, a yelping Perrine would fall through it, crashing into a chair and sprawling over, butt in the air.] Ow! Those girls never told me it was this rough of a trip!

ACTION, I GUESS?

( But she then hears the noise of the bookshelf in her room nearby and jolts back in surprise.

Uuugh... [Holding her head, she sat up as the glowing doorway shut behind her.] Proving it to you. I was the one who told you about my world. Lt. Perrine H Cloistermann, Strike Witches.

( She sounds kind of deadpan, scowling for a moment or two before giving a huge grin. )

It's called a worldhop, accessible with the right combination of book motions from any bookcase. People can do it under the right circumstances.

There's a semi-public one I'm using, which is the bookshelf. Otherwise you'll need a device or some kind of innate power to do it. You'll have to ask Yayoi Kise for permission, but as long as you let her know when you use it, it's fine.

It's not really shorthand. Lame is an actual word on its own. You can even check the dictionary on the shelf over there.
