[ Then it switches to video. ]

[ She waves, smiling. She's actually in her desk in the prinipal's office/SSS headquarters right now, not in Rokkenjima. Mostly because rain as background noise makes this less exciting. She points at the screen dramatically. ]

Next month, I want to host an event that will put to the test all fighting styles and determine who on the community is truly the strongest! Consider this a challenge, fighters. There will be two divisions, one for physical strength and one for super-human talents. You can enter either division as long as you follow the rules set out for each one, which I'll announce at another time.

For now, I need a few things to get this started: [ Yuri holds up one finger before her. ]

One! Multiple arenas. If your world has a unique, deserted area that you think would provide an excellent and challenging course for a fight to occur that won't get us arrested, volunteer here. [ Yuri lowers her finger, putting her hand off to the side. ] For one of the more dangerous courses, I'll be activating Guild's traps and Guild territory will act as a field. I'm looking for more than one field though, so just because someone has suggested one, it doesn't mean you can't.

[ A second finger up! ]

Two! Refreshments. There'll probably be an audience right? So there needs to be drinks and snacks. I'm not asking for full course meals or anything, but definitely things like popcorn and meat buns and.. hot dogs on a stick. You know, sporting event food.

Three! Prize sponsors! I've already got a couple of ideas, but clearly the grand prize should be something ridiculously awesome. If you're the most powerful in more than one universe, you deserve it.

Four is Equipment. A camera crew would be nice for the people who don't want to get worldhopped around to the different fighting arenas but still want to watch, but I'm sure we can work something out with our community devices for that. If someone could get some bleachers for stadium seating for an audience, that'd be great. I've got projectors and lots of other equipment left over from the SSS for a lot of other things I'll need, but those sorts of things are definitely needed.

Last but definitely not least! Five! [ A sweet smile and Yuri excitedly leans forward, then back in her nice big chair. ] Volunteers! Brave ones too. If you're going to be refereeing fights, I can guarantee some people aren't going to be holding back so you're going to definitely have to have guts. Possibly immortality. I'll be there since it's not like I can die again, but I'll need eyes in multiple places to keep track of things and people to hand out refreshments. Oh! And on-site medics. Don't want anyone dying, obviously.

That's it, other than that I think I can work out things like that. If you think you'd be interested in fighting, don't volunteer yet. I'll post a sign up later once we get more things together and come up with a roster. It'll probably be sometime mid-February so we've got plenty of time to prepare. Questions?

[ YURIIII WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO HER.. being ange is extra suffering now. ]

You're never going to give me a choice, are you?

Probably not.

[ Once they're in front of it, she turns to face her. ]

I'll let you pick high-tension or relaxation, though.

[entreats]

[ Yup, sounds accurate. She will just be dragged whenever this girl has an idea, no matter what the time is.. not that she dislikes Yuri, but she's just so extremely not in the mood right now that it makes her grumpy. ]

Do I look like I could use some high tension right now?

[tenminutes]

You deadpan all the time, asking how you look is irrelevant. I mean, we could do something totally crazy to blow of some steam or go straight for massages.

[entreats]

[ .. Yuri. 'Something crazy'. Does she really want to risk it, she could be in a jeep with lions chasing them within five minutes.. but then again, massages don't sound too bad, right? At least she can still be a little quiet and thoughtful during those.

Being thoughtful is a lot more difficult with lions around. ]

I guess if you insist, a massage wouldn't be horrible..

[tenminutes]

Okay.

[ Yuri's going to turn on her worldhop now and she walks Ange through the big door created by it, right into what looks like a janitor's closet. Hey, they've got to sneak in somehow, it's not like Yuri can afford to take them to a spa normally. ]

[entreats]

We could just have gone to my time to get some money so we could go in as normal customers.

[ But fine, fine, we'll do it Yuri's way. Stuck in a cramped janitor's closet. ]

Lead the way, super spy.

Originally, some time during what I believe is now known as the Dark Ages, although I can't say I understand that particular moniker. At the moment, I am living midway through my world's 1990s, though.

[tenminutes]

[ Wow they're not stuck. Yuri turns he doorknob, oh wow, look it's a spa! ]

That'd raise questions about where you went missing to wouldn't it?

[ There's no way that no one's noticed she's gone. ]

[tenminutes]

...Huh. How's technology treating you? [ That just sounds like a riot to Yuri..]

100 sounds reasonable enough, though I'll probably have to bring them all in batches in that case. This ship of mine's got an annoyingly small cargo bay compared to my old one. And well, even if we get it empty space isn't that much of an issue. The nice thing about having some of that around is that if people get fed up with where they're sitting, they could easily pack up and move elsewhere for a different view.

Wait, you're... already dead? [ wat. ] I didn't realise the community had managed to get as far as the afterlife now.

[regalbearing]

Not as badly as you might expect. I was given full knowledge of the modern era when I was first called here.

[tenminutes]

Thanks. My worldhop isn't big enough to fit bleachers through otherwise I'd offer to help get them over. I'll space the fights with plenty of time in between to make sure that we have time to change arenas.

I've had access for... Uh, more than a year I think? I'm not really sure. Time's not really a factor unless you're keeping track of it there, I'm not even sure how long I've been dead for. My afterlife is built only for a certain kind of people, anyway. I'm holding on a little past what I should be at the moment, then once I finish up a few things I'll stop existing and my soul will get reincarnated into a new person. So don't get attached, got it?

[tenminutes]

Oh. That's just cheating! I was expecting all kinds of comedic stories because of that.

[entreats]

I'll have to face those questions eventually at some point either way, I'm sure. [ As much as she doesn't like dealing with them..

She glances out of the closet, but there seems to be nobody around for now, so just.. casually getting out of there. ]

Besides, I'm sure people are only glad I'm gone. They're probably having a party for it right as we speak.

[regalbearing]

I'm sorry, but it seems I must disappoint you in that regard. The most I could offer you is that soon after I arrived, out of habit I referred to modern vehicles as things that have a harness and saddle. My companion seemed to find that amusing, anyway.

[tenminutes]

[ Yuri's not going to get all sentimental and say she doubts that or anything... she couldn't possibly know. Well, except for one problem. ]

Your bodyguard is probably panicking.

Brilliant. Sounds like we've got ourselves a deal in that case.

Well, that's certainly a novel way of dealing with the matter... But yes, right, got it, no attachment. Fair warning, I can't promise that I won't end up bombarding you with questions about this afterlife though. It's a character flaw, I'm a bit terminally nosy.

Well they've got seats and seatbelts, so it's close enough. What's your name anyway?

The afterlife here looks like a boarding school. It's because the only people who come here are young people who died before their time with a whole lot of regrets. No one comes here because they lead a happy life. When you're able to accept the life you had and come to peace with it, you disappear. Out of thin air. I'm completely solid, you can touch me, I bleed and breathe and feel pain and have to eat and everything, but I'll heal from any wound. It's just like normal life, except I already died once so I can't die again. It's not my original, living body though. Ending up with no regrets, being truly happy.. It's kind of dangerous right now. [ Since she's already managed to overcome the reason she was brought there in the first place. ]

There aren't any real people here right now besides me, though. Everyone else moved on a little while ago. I'm not actually staying here, I'm staying in someone else's world right now. But otherwise, this place is basically a paradise where kids who had no chance to live normal lives get one. [ She shrugs, her tone changing just a little bit to reflect more of a blase attitude. ] You know, when we're not being a bunch of morons and rebelling against God and fighting ever getting better. I think that just about covers the basics.

[ She's never had a problem telling people things, that's for sure. ]

Amakusa? [ There's a sound that's almost like a wry laugh, if Ange would ever laugh. ]

I bet he just quickly ran away to some other country to start anew. He does it all the time, so I bet he's just glad I gave him the opportunity to.

Losing his charge can't be good for his resume. Anyway, it doesn't matter where the people who want you around are. So let's go get massages.

[entreats]

Fine. Let's hope his new job isn't being a half-naked massage person in a spa. [ at least she's deadpanning again? that's a good sign. ]

If he is let's hope it's the top half. [ Yay we're walking now. Yuri peeks into a door, then goes in when she sees it's the changing area. ] Alright, let's get some robes.
