[ She waves, smiling. She's actually in her desk in the prinipal's office/SSS headquarters right now, not in Rokkenjima. Mostly because rain as background noise makes this less exciting. She points at the screen dramatically. ]

Next month, I want to host an event that will put to the test all fighting styles and determine who on the community is truly the strongest! Consider this a challenge, fighters. There will be two divisions, one for physical strength and one for super-human talents. You can enter either division as long as you follow the rules set out for each one, which I'll announce at another time.

For now, I need a few things to get this started: [ Yuri holds up one finger before her. ]

One! Multiple arenas. If your world has a unique, deserted area that you think would provide an excellent and challenging course for a fight to occur that won't get us arrested, volunteer here. [ Yuri lowers her finger, putting her hand off to the side. ] For one of the more dangerous courses, I'll be activating Guild's traps and Guild territory will act as a field. I'm looking for more than one field though, so just because someone has suggested one, it doesn't mean you can't.

[ A second finger up! ]

Two! Refreshments. There'll probably be an audience right? So there needs to be drinks and snacks. I'm not asking for full course meals or anything, but definitely things like popcorn and meat buns and.. hot dogs on a stick. You know, sporting event food.

Three! Prize sponsors! I've already got a couple of ideas, but clearly the grand prize should be something ridiculously awesome. If you're the most powerful in more than one universe, you deserve it.

Four is Equipment. A camera crew would be nice for the people who don't want to get worldhopped around to the different fighting arenas but still want to watch, but I'm sure we can work something out with our community devices for that. If someone could get some bleachers for stadium seating for an audience, that'd be great. I've got projectors and lots of other equipment left over from the SSS for a lot of other things I'll need, but those sorts of things are definitely needed.

Last but definitely not least! Five! [ A sweet smile and Yuri excitedly leans forward, then back in her nice big chair. ] Volunteers! Brave ones too. If you're going to be refereeing fights, I can guarantee some people aren't going to be holding back so you're going to definitely have to have guts. Possibly immortality. I'll be there since it's not like I can die again, but I'll need eyes in multiple places to keep track of things and people to hand out refreshments. Oh! And on-site medics. Don't want anyone dying, obviously.

That's it, other than that I think I can work out things like that. If you think you'd be interested in fighting, don't volunteer yet. I'll post a sign up later once we get more things together and come up with a roster. It'll probably be sometime mid-February so we've got plenty of time to prepare. Questions?

How would you keep the fighters confined to their arena?

Hmm.. Well, either we make sure it's a damn big arena and all the people recording it or reffing it are immortal, already dead, or impervious. Or we find someone with magic who can make a barrier to keep the people in there. Or a disqualification for going out of bounds works, too.

I'm considering offering up a worldhop device, since I can make those if I really put my mind to it. [ Even if she hates doing it because it takes so damn long to do atomic restructuring if it's just one person working on it. So she's considering. She might not, it depends on if I get it approved ]I've got some pretty interesting things locked up in Guild too that I might include. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to offer some of your decks, but there'll be other things as well. Obviously I can't say anything officially right now since I just posted this and I want to see what other kinds of offers we get.

Great. We'll definitely need healers, so if I could have you on standby when you're not in your matches. I'll try to get at least one more healer so you're not working all on your own and you'll have someone during your fights too. What's your name?

I could probably be in powered or non, since I can fight without them. Then again, I can probably stand up to some of the weaker powered types with just my gun, too. Have to be careful not to get it wrecked again, though. Tess really would kill me.

I'd volunteer Spargus City's arena - we can probably turn off the trap that covers the floor with lava, it's mostly a reaction time test anyway - but the Wasteland's kind of a mess right now. Can get some other areas, though - mostly abandoned ruins or out in the wilderness. My world's got a lot of places that are empty or close to it, except for Metal Heads. Pretty much just tell me what kind of environment you're after and I'll see what I can get.

I’ve already got a heavily booby-trapped cave area, a broken chessboard, a wasteland type, heavy-water arena, and a snowy terrain volcano. Looking for things that don't fit that description, so what's the absolute weirdest place you've got?

Great! For the camera stuff, you sound like you definitely know what you're doing so I'll hire you for that. Do you have a commentary sample? I'd hire you on the spot for that, but since we've got to entertain non-participants I want to make sure to test you beforehand.

Of course, my reason for hosting it is because the community likes big events. Big events tend to mean no viruses.

May I ask exactly how you will determine who belongs in which division? I fear that the line may be somewhat blurry at times.

There will be specific rules for each division. The competitors themselves can pick which division they prefer to be in but they have to swear to adhere to the rules for each division. If they break even a single one, then they'll be disqualified. We can't judge whose powers are cooler than others, but we can say "in this division use of superpowers is not allowed" and "in this division use of superpowers is allowed, with the limit that an ability does not damage more than the arena area."

It'd be fun and it'd be great for everyone for lots of reasons, like getting to test your abilities and find your limits as a fighter so you can improve, getting prizes-- all sorts of stuff. Looking forward to it?

I've got someone doing cameras, is there any chance you can get ahold of some bleachers?

It'll be good to have more than one referee so that no one thinks one of us is cheating, but I need to know that you're more durable than most people. If we're trying to see something, it means we'll need to be near the fight and if that happens, it does put us at higher risk.

Oh! And what's your name?

It would be really interesting to watch people beat each other up. And I wouldn't mind offering up a camera as long as I get to keep the footage.

Sure. We'll be broadcasting it to the community so people who don't have the time to watch live can still get a glimpse, but it'll be good to have more than one camera for different angles. Thanks, Haruhi.

Great! We've got one more who's participating in the fights as well, so long as you two don't end up against each other there'll be medics available for all of the fights between those two. I'll try to schedule your fights at night, too.
