[ She waves, smiling. She's actually in her desk in the prinipal's office/SSS headquarters right now, not in Rokkenjima. Mostly because rain as background noise makes this less exciting. She points at the screen dramatically. ]

Next month, I want to host an event that will put to the test all fighting styles and determine who on the community is truly the strongest! Consider this a challenge, fighters. There will be two divisions, one for physical strength and one for super-human talents. You can enter either division as long as you follow the rules set out for each one, which I'll announce at another time.

For now, I need a few things to get this started: [ Yuri holds up one finger before her. ]

One! Multiple arenas. If your world has a unique, deserted area that you think would provide an excellent and challenging course for a fight to occur that won't get us arrested, volunteer here. [ Yuri lowers her finger, putting her hand off to the side. ] For one of the more dangerous courses, I'll be activating Guild's traps and Guild territory will act as a field. I'm looking for more than one field though, so just because someone has suggested one, it doesn't mean you can't.

[ A second finger up! ]

Two! Refreshments. There'll probably be an audience right? So there needs to be drinks and snacks. I'm not asking for full course meals or anything, but definitely things like popcorn and meat buns and.. hot dogs on a stick. You know, sporting event food.

Three! Prize sponsors! I've already got a couple of ideas, but clearly the grand prize should be something ridiculously awesome. If you're the most powerful in more than one universe, you deserve it.

Four is Equipment. A camera crew would be nice for the people who don't want to get worldhopped around to the different fighting arenas but still want to watch, but I'm sure we can work something out with our community devices for that. If someone could get some bleachers for stadium seating for an audience, that'd be great. I've got projectors and lots of other equipment left over from the SSS for a lot of other things I'll need, but those sorts of things are definitely needed.

Last but definitely not least! Five! [ A sweet smile and Yuri excitedly leans forward, then back in her nice big chair. ] Volunteers! Brave ones too. If you're going to be refereeing fights, I can guarantee some people aren't going to be holding back so you're going to definitely have to have guts. Possibly immortality. I'll be there since it's not like I can die again, but I'll need eyes in multiple places to keep track of things and people to hand out refreshments. Oh! And on-site medics. Don't want anyone dying, obviously.

That's it, other than that I think I can work out things like that. If you think you'd be interested in fighting, don't volunteer yet. I'll post a sign up later once we get more things together and come up with a roster. It'll probably be sometime mid-February so we've got plenty of time to prepare. Questions?

How would you keep the fighters confined to their arena?

[The whole thing seems very dangerous to her.]

[ It completely is. ]

Hmm.. Well, either we make sure it's a damn big arena and all the people recording it or reffing it are immortal, already dead, or impervious. Or we find someone with magic who can make a barrier to keep the people in there. Or a disqualification for going out of bounds works, too.

What ensures even match-ups, so no one will be instantly outclassed? Or will you not take that into consideration?

[tenminutes]

Well, the two divisions are essentially going to lie in magic and other supernatural ability levels. For example, someone with no supernatural abilities or someone with magic abilities that rely on summoning a weapon will all be in one category. Weapons will be allowed, of course. The second division will be for people who can do things like magic. No summoning will be allowed, of course, since that's basically calling someone else to fight for you. Superpowers like super-strength and other things that would be classified as beyond-average-human-capacity strengths would go into that second division.

I'll make sure to investigate each person so that they're not hiding anything when they sign up, too. Beyond that, people will be informed of the dangers before the tournament starts.

I shrunk them, but I can make them big again! This one up here, the big one, is a battlefield that's a broken chess board. It's really damagerd by meteors, but people could fight on it! That one next to it is covered in magma and has a bunch of weird metal and stone structures sticking out! The one after that is mine, and it's got a volcano and part of it used to be tropical, but it's all covered in ice and snow now. The next one's really bright and colourful and has lots of water and some old ruins. Finally, the last one's got rivers of oil and some mountains and dead trees and a lot of clouds! I think they get really mad at parking violations, though.

I think the magma one might be a bit too dangerous, I don't want anyone dying, but the others sound great!

Viruses don't interfere with events. That's a given. It'll either be before or after it if there is one, but with any luck this should shove the viruses off for at least a month.

Definitely! I can't worldhop right now since I'm out of range of the thing that lets me do that, but other people know their way here!

I'm considering offering up a worldhop device, since I can make those if I really put my mind to it. [ Even if she hates doing it because it takes so damn long to do atomic restructuring if it's just one person working on it. So she's considering. She might not, it depends on if I get it approved ]I've got some pretty interesting things locked up in Guild too that I might include. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to offer some of your decks, but there'll be other things as well. Obviously I can't say anything officially right now since I just posted this and I want to see what other kinds of offers we get.
