[Well. Rita sure looks like she's seen better days... There are a multitude of small cuts on her arms, her clothes are slightly shredded, and she looks a little tired... but she's grinning.]

Things have been a little crazy here... after we went to investigate the aer krene - basically a spring of aer, and we almost died while we were there - then when we got back, we got caught in the middle of barely-averted war between the guilds and the empire, and then we finally tracked down Yuri's aque blastia... and we had to take on the Blood Alliance, one of the master guilds, to get it back. But now...

[She takes a deep breath.] But now it's all over. I can get back to my research - I have an assignment from the Empire to find and research the rest of the aer krene. So I get to keep traveling for now; Yuri'll take Estelle back to the capital, since I'm going a different way.

[A moment passes, and she frowns.] So why am I so... unsatisfied? The aer krene could be what finally advance blastia research by years. But... as much as I want to do it, I... kinda don't want to, at the same time.

.. Ah, yeah, I guess I sort of get it then. So you're just more waiting until your opportunity comes to actually go away from there later.

Well, just an assignment doesn't sound too bad, either way.

I... don't know. I haven't really had time to think about it, that much. Where would I go? What would I do? Those are questions I have to answer first. And work can keep my busy while I find my answers. It's going to be a long assignment - I have to find and study the other aer krene, and there was only the one on this continent - so I'll have plenty of time.

[entreats]

[ Yeah, isn't that something she's supposed to be able to understand? After all, she would want to be free too, but.. she can't, right? Where would she even go either? ]

It's important enough to think about, yeah. Don't make a decision you'll regret or it'll just be a pain.

Definitely. I'm going to have a lot of time on my hands... even with a blastia drive, ships take time to cross the ocean, and I've got several continents to search. I can work out the answers to my problems on the way.

[Her face colors a little, and she mumbles something unintelligible.]

[ .. Huh? Wait-- ]

What did you just say? I think I didn't catch that last part.

I said, "whether I want to leave or not!" Part of not making a decision I'll regret is that I already regret not being able to make the one I want to make!

[entreats]

We're never given many choices in life. And if we're actually given them, then they're usually difficult to make either way. Ah, seems like it's really useless when you think about it that way.

No, I think I see what you mean. I'm just a little annoyed right now, all things considered. I'll figure things out.

You know, it's not like me to say something as lame and corny as this, but.. I think things will work out for you one way or another. Eventually. So don't worry about it too much.
