Is this how you work it? I really need some-oh, it's on! Great! It was getting frustrating after a while, but it...looks like the video on this thing is working.

[And so the face of a spikey-haired boy comes into view, his face showing signs of excitement.]

Ciaossu! Listen, there's a problem here. See, this place keeps on popping up on my computer, and I've tried several times to make it go away. But, it just won't! I really don't know what to think about it.

Anyways, it's really starting to clog up my computer by this point, and I'm wondering if there is any way to just make it go away. What is this place supposed to be, some sort of...social network site? This is all sounding way too familiar with what Natsume-san does.

...oh, right! I forgot about it. Ahem, my name is Souhei Sasahara, but my friends call me "Sasayan", so feel free to call me that. If you have any idea on how to help me, please let me know! If it doesn't go away then... [A bit of despair seemed to flash on his face at that point, quickly replaced by his usual grin.] Thanks, you've been helpful!

I think the closest I've come to being in a fight was biting someone's hand or slapping Edgar, so that makes two of us.

Eh? You bit someone before? Well, that's definitely a step up from me. I really don't fancy fights, in the first place. I'm more of those observer types, you know? It helps me better understand what's going on.

During a third kidnapping attempt by the first kidnapper. [ HER LIFE IS COMPLICATED OKAY!! ] I'd rather not get involved in these things to begin with, but it's a little late for that. What do you do anyway?

I guess, whatever life throws your way, you have to deal with it in your own manner. ...me? I just go to school is all, I'm a first year in High School. Oh, I'm also a member of the baseball team, if that counts for something!

Hehe, well of course! You seem pretty nice in the first place, and it'd be nice to get to know you better!

You attend an actual school? I learned how to read and write from my father, but you must be wealthy to go to a school. I've never been to a baseball game, but I've heard a bit about it from my father. Is it fun?

At least you're literate! But nowadays, even if you aren't stinking rich, you can still attend school no problem, no matter what your social status is. It's really amazing to meet all the people over here who become your friends in due time.

Aw man, baseball is awesome! It's really exhilarating to actually hit home-runs, or catch pop-flies, or even get a double play! ...but, I'm assuming you have no clue what I'm saying. [Way to get excited, Sasayan.]

Even women? [ Lydia sounds surprised at that, to be sure. She can read and write because her father is a professor, so he taught her, but most people, especially women, didn't have that opportunity if they weren't nobles. ]

I'm afraid I don't. [ She smiles though, since he seems really enthusiastic! ] I'd like to learn though.

Hehe, yeah, even girls! I have Mizutani-san and Natsume-san as my friends, you know, and Mizutani-san is at the top of our class! ...well, she used to be, but Yoshida always beats her out somehow...ah, I can't complain! I'm just saying that girls are really smart.

Hm... [He snaps his fingers.] Hey, if I can manage to get a worldhopper, or whatever it's called, maybe I can teach you how to play one day. It's really simple and fun!

I suppose that would be one of the good things Miss Beatrice was telling me that the future holds. [ As opposed to bikinis, which Lydia can't even comprehend the purpose of.. ]

I'd like that, though it'd have to be once thing settle down of course.

Hehe, yeah! It's really nice to see unity in the future, as opposed to the past, you know? Otherwise I wouldn't be where I am today! [He really couldn't see himself anywhere else, but right now.]

The future sounds wonderful sometimes. Frightening and appalling at others, of course, but there are many wonderful things as well.

Yeah, there are some things in the future that...probably would be better off not being here in the first place.

Is there anything in particular you enjoy, besides the fairy thing?

It really does sound wonderful, though.

Gardening and reading, if I had to pick a few.

You do come across as someone who would be into the gardening scene. In our times, people...don't do as much, but...it's still nice to see some pretty flowers out there!

...I can't get into reading, though, I'm more of an outside sort of guy.

Well, I did back home. I hope they're not getting too out of hand. I didn't expect to be gone for so long, so I didn't make any arrangements.

You seem like the kind of person who has lots of friends, too, so I imagine you wouldn't have too much time to.

Oh, that stinks. I would imagine it would be troublesome to take care of a garden from far away. Hey, maybe you can show me that too someday.

Ehe, you can tell just from that? [He began to blush from embarrassment.] Yeah, I do have a lot of friends.

Once I get back to Scotland, I'll definitely show you. [ Too bad she doesn't end up going back. Oops. ]

You're kind and you share things easily, you're willing to give people a chance, you're not ugly, and you don't have anything strange about you. I can't see why a lot of people wouldn't like you. [ She knows from watching the other kids have friends what kinds of things they look for. ]

Sounds good to me, at least.

Way to go, you have an embarrassed Sasayan!] Hey, that's way too kind of you to say those kind of things! I hardly think I deserve any of those, but...if you say so. They're simply first impressions. I'm not popular at all, so I don't think most of those apply. [ She looks confused at the red face. He looks like he's going to explode. ] Are you alright?

But you yourself are kind! And...not ugly. [He coughs a bit awkwardly when those words come out of his mouth.] I'm fine! It's really nothing to be worried about! [He's not going to reveal that he's embarrassed, oh no.]

I try to be kind, at least. I'm not so sure about the other part. [ She should change the subject though. She's not looking for people to correct her or make her feel better-- she's already fairly convinced that even if some people on the community think she's alright looking, it's not like that holds in her time and world. ] Where does the name Sasayan come from?

Hey, you're good at it, though! You've managed to make me feel better, at least. [That next question, though, paused his speech for a good while. That question...he hasn't been asked that in a while.] ...You know, it's just something that my friends have called me, so I guess it stuck on after a while. That, and I prefer it to my actual name, so that could count, as well. Aaah, it's been a long time, so my memory is a bit...hazy.

Like I said, it really stuck to me over the years. Some people still call me Sasahara, which always bugs me, but I can deal sooner or later. How about you, Lydia, any cool nicknames you have?

No, I've always just been Lydia or Miss Carlton.
