The Little Fights That Make Us Who They Are

[It really was a difficult thing to gauge but how quickly had everything fallen apart. One minute the girls were having fun and Hayate wheeled over to get the ball where it had fallen. The next, there was a terrible scream from where the girl had seemingly fallen.

You see, Hayate and Nanoha were over at Itsuki's place having some fun after the fun events of Tanabata and since time was moving slower in their world for some reason, they could take some time off. Going to the HCPC timeline would be perfect, and the two girls were throwing around a ball and generally having fun as Itsuki's houseguests.

But then, everything turned sour.

Sasorina had taken the chance to capture Hayate and her Heartflower was in full view. It was a pale ivory color with a odd look to it -- a woman clutching the flower which had been mostly wilted. Within seconds she had transformed the poor girl into a Desertrian and the huge wheelchair-based being proclaimed, obviously,] WHEELCHAIR!

[A long overdue event that took seconds, as Desertian Hayate held up a hand and there was a glowing ball of energy in it. And she hurled it into the town, where there was a massive explosion and a shout of,] I don't want anyone to cry!

[Assemble heroes, for the girl is completely and utterly out of control.]

(ooc: fight threaaaaad! No tag order, just go nuts and I'll tag everyone who fights. I can multitask really... oh and the fight thread isn't Cures only. If your character has a worldhop, come try to stop the kid. Don't worry, Desertrians are hardy.)

[Itsuki herself wasn't quite sure what happened. She'd managed to overshoot the girl with a thrown ball, and not ten seconds later there was a scream, a woman, and a monster. She ran over to help, but by the time she got there she found a ball, a blanket, and a glass orb. The latter contained Hayate, or at least what remained of her with her heart inside the Desertrian. The rest was easy enough to work out.

She saw red.]

Give... give her back...!

[There was no way she would be able to keep her voice steady, not now. Through fear, despair, and a surprising rage, she directed her glare straight at the perpetrator.]

GIVE HER BACK!

[Sasorina probably wasn't listening as Hayate lashed out at Itsuki, trying to flatten the girl with a huge hand.] WHEELCHAIR!

[sunbloom]

[For a single moment, Itsuki thought to try and endure the attack. That thought was met with the certainty that if she tried, she would die. She simply wasn't strong enough. So she dove aside, only barely evading the slam, and being thrown aside.]

Hayate... come on, it's me. Please... can't we stop this?

[She felt sick as she realized the big energy blast from before had never been meant for resistance; just destruction. But she couldn't stop now.]

There has to be something I can do to stop this... I just need more power...!

[At that moment, a pair of eyes inside the house snapped open.]

[Sweeping her hands up to her head, Hayate shook her head as she proclaimed,] I can't let anyone know I'm still sick! I'm so scared of dying I wind up crying every night!

[A half-formed energy spear appears in her hand and she hurled it into the battlefield.]

Hayate-chan!? Oh, now what?

WHEELCHAIR! [Hey look Nagisa, its the little kidlet who had been attacked. She is wrecking stuff. Stop her maybe?]

I can't believe this!

*She jumps up and starts bounce-kicking from spoke to spoke.*

[Cure Aqua has a lot on her mind right now. She's working out potential platforms (including the roof she's currently jumping toward) and attack vectors, assuring herself that Hanasaki-san and the others will know how to turn Hayate back to normal, watching out for civilians, keeping an eye on allies, and trying to predict attacks. Above all that, though, there's a pressing question on her mind.]

What do energy blasts have to do with wheelchairs?!

[Nothing really, except that Hayate was apparently really GOOD at fighting, and she created several ice daggers and hurled them at Karen, the weapons all spiraling to a point.] Karen-nee did so much for me, I don't want her efforts to be in vain!

[This makes even less sense! Also Karen will just be getting out of the way of the sharp pointy objects now. the use of her name catches her attention, though.]

Hayate-chan...

[shiningwaters]

[Aqua deflected a blast with her Keyblade and stood ready for battle.]

Hayate, we'll free you. I promise.

[lil_tanuki]

[Honestly Hayate wasn't doing anything other than firing random blasts around, but she raised a hand as a crackling lightning ball appeared.] Why can't I be more truthful to my feelings?! I don't want to die at all!

[shiningwaters]

[Aqua fires off a Thundaga aimed directly at that ball of lightning.]

Then be honest! Don't hide your worries! Nobody can help if they don't know what's wrong!

[fightbymoonlight]

No...! [Yuri was mostly looking at the Desertrian in shock. Hayate's heart flower had been wilting and none of them had even realized it. Damn it, why hadn't anyone noticed? Why hadn't she noticed?] This is low... even for the Desert Apostles, this is really low!

Hayate-chan...

[lil_tanuki]

I'm so scared! I want everyone to be happy but I'm going to die soon and I don't want anyone to be sad!

[Raising a hand, a crackling pink ball of energy flared to life.] I'm so scared!

[fightbymoonlight]

No... Damn it, no, we're going to find something that will cure you, Hayate-chan! I won't allow you to die!

[Yuri quickly took out her Precure Seed, ready to create a barrier the second Hayate fired a beam. Hopefully it would be strong enough to withstand it.] Hayate-chan, stop, please!

[pinkbefriendingbeam]

Hayate-chan!

[Nanoha's eyes are wide, everything happening too fast for her to stop it. And now Hayate was a monster and attacking everything.]

Stop this, please! I know you don't want to do anything like this!

[lil_tanuki]

I made a friend and she'll be sad when I'm gone! [More anguish poured from Hayate as she started another ability, creating a energy blast similar to Nanoha's Divine Buster.]

[pinkbefriendingbeam]

Hayate-chan, please sto-

[Okay, words interrupted by seeing Divine Buster showing up. Just... wow. Okay. Bad. Bad bad bad bad bad.

Nanoha's going to quickly transform now before she's blasted, because it was really obvious that she was going to have to fight Hayate now. But how could she stop this?]

Final Step

[lil_tanuki]

[Letting out a pained scream, the Desertrian was clutching her head, shaking it.] I don't want to run away, I don't I don't I don't!

[If you've got the means to finish her off, do so now.]

All right, White, we're going with your suggestion! Everyone else, do your stuff!

Black Pulsar!

[iwontforgivethis]

Got it!

[Honoka raises her hand to the sky.]

[Having being reunited with her heart flower, there was a brief outline of a ghostly woman who rose up from the heart flower. And then, something odd happened. Her heart flower which was a marigold which meant pain, changed.

It blossomed outwards and changed completely, turning from a ivory color to a Borage. In the language of flowers, it meant Courage. And in a shimmer, Hayate lay on the ground, unmoving for a few seconds before her eyes flickered open.]

... everyone... I had... the strangest dream... you were all calling out to me, I... I...

[Hayate, began to cry.] I don't want to be left alone...! Please help me!

[pinkbefriendingbeam]

Hayate-chan!

[Yeah, Nanoha's going to go and glomp you now Hayate.]

We're not leaving you alone! Promise!

*Nagisa smiles with relief.* You're okay now, Hayate.
