[09 ~ Action]

[You may have noticed that Rita's been a little quiet the past few weeks. The truth is, she's been making preparations for a certain little girl's birthday. Privately, she was afraid when the whole thing had gone down at the Myoudouin mansion a little bit ago, but it looked like the Precure had the situation under control, so she'd left it to them and finished up.

Now, the time had come. Organizing all of this was difficult, and truth be told she only managed it because of the time dilation between Terca Lumireis and Hayate's home. But it's just about done. Just a few things left to finish...

And everything's come together. Hayate's house has been turned into the venue for a birthday party that could only be made possible by intervention from various worlds. It's not a huge affair, but it's definitely something you can tell effort went into; the house isn't huge itself, but there's enough space for the guests. There's food set up over by the kitchen, though she had to ban Hayate from doing any work today. She found some space to set up a few games to keep everyone occupied, and of all things she scraped together some fireworks. Nothing big, but it's summer here, and what better in summer than sparklers at night?

Rita's standing by as people arrive in case anything goes wrong, but mostly she just wants to make sure this goes off without a hitch. For once in her life, she's really nervous, and there's nothing she can do about it. So she's keeping herself busy and trying to make this work out. There haven't been any major problems yet, but she's got a few gels in her pocket in case she needs to take action in an emergency. And the whole time, she's keeping a careful eye on Hayate; happy that they made this work, but there's an undercurrent of worry that's hard to miss.

Unbeknownst to Rita, though, something is stirring inside the house... and anyone with magic may or may not be able to sense a very slight drain. It's barely noticeable, just the slightest tug on their power. But it's there. Anyone that notices won't be able to figure out where it's coming from, though.]

[Set up over by the kitchen is an array of food; some clearly looks like it's been prepared here, while there's more that definitely isn't of Earth construction. Either way, there's plenty to go around. Everyone seems to have figured that it would be better to over-prepare than under-prepare. Rita can be found here occasionally making sure everything's still stocked.]

[The birthday girl is in her element, and what is she doing? She's serving everyone else. She's rolling around, offering drinks on a tray. Someone tell her this is her day please?]

[Had she brought a good present? Though she wouldn't admit it, she wasn't good at picking them out so what if she had gotten something Hayate didn't want?

Her concern is forgotten when she rolls by with tray. She'll take the drink before looking again.]

Eeeh?! That's where you are?! Why are you the one giving out drinks?!

Because I like doing so, silly! [To her, this was the best way she could interact with people; by giving them stuff to drink and eat!] Glad you could make it, Sena-nee!

Me too but you shouldn't be serving drinks at your own party. Couldn't we just have hired somebody to help?

Can't really do that. This isn't a professional party after all. I don't think we could have gotten someone to cater it. [Hayate shrugged a little.]

But if you're doing this, how are you going to play games with us. Ohh...I really wanted to play games with you, too.

Don't worry, I'll break for games! Just you watch, it'll be fun!

Hmmm...what game are you going to play?

Hayate-chan! This is a party. It's your party! You shouldn't be giving out drinks, you should be having fun!

[She's smiling and holding back giggles though. She's pretty sure she knows how well her saying this is actually going to work.]

But this is fun for me! And then I get to talk to a ton of people too! [Yep you know it just fine, because Hayate loves to serve people food and stuff.]

But even if it is fun it's not birthday fun!

[Still, it didn't look like Hayate was going to relent.]

Okay. But make sure you get some different fun too.

Well all right. Want to play a game with me after I serve these drinks?

Yay! You can be player one then, and I'll be player two.

[There are a few tables and sets of chairs with simple games set up out of what Hayate had sitting around, plus a few extra empty ones in case anything brings something.]

[Hayate's trying to decide on what to play first. Clearly she needs help. She made a 'hmm' sound as she looked back and forth between the games. Maybe someone should sway her into action?]

[Fireworks]

[That evening, Rita drags out a few boxes of sparklers she pulled together in her preparations. The night is warm but not unpleasant, and she marshals anyone interested into a group to head to a park across the street, carrying a few buckets of water along as well. If anyone has anything else to bring along for lights and explosions, now's the time.]

Ah, it's so incredible out tonight! [You can see all the stars tonight in the city, and she is playing with a sparkler, turning it around in her hands.]

[Aqua felt a little drained, but for the most part, she was chalking it up to stress. She could still stand to do a little magic for the night.]

All right, a little fire, and a little light...

[She launched some of the fireworks high into the air, but once they were high enough, she ignited them with a Firaga spell, creating spectacular fireballs and color.]

Oooooooh! [And Hayate claps appreciatively, smiling widely at the sight of it.] So pretty! That's incredible!

[Aqua took a bow, using the time to wait for her magic levels to go back up. Still not at her peak, but enough for her to throw some sparkles before grabbing a quick drink.]

Glad it was impressive.

Mmm! You look a little tired though. Has it been a long day?

I'm okay. I've been taking care of something on another world, and it's very different from where I've been before. I think I might just need time to adjust.
