Not that I'm either one. A preacher wold be considered a respectable job on any world, I'd hope.

Then yes. I'm a fully-trained, highly-qualified officer of the Time-Space Administration Bureau; specifically, I'm an Enforcer. My job is to investigate dimensional crime, repair damage to the fabric of space-time caused by such crime, and apprehend the cause.

It's pretty involved work.

More like what don't I research at this rate. It started off with botany products to help with agriculture. Turned into finding strange artifacts on other planets and figuring out more about them or how to keep them from killing us.

I've been learning more and more as I go, though I did start off in the botany department.

It is dependent upon your definition of professional, I suppose.

I am a waiter, at the current. However, I am occasionally offered, ah, "odd jobs" in which I tend to tune or maintain instruments. Though it is not entirely related, the latter offers experience toward one that I am admittedly more partial to.
