Attention, other people trapped in the mall surrounded by zombies.

We need to make a plan, or I don't think we're going to get out of this alive. Find somewhere to fortify, and try to stay safe.

First on the agenda - who has powers that haven't been taken away? I'm still strong, and still have my spells, but they're a lot weaker. Also, apparently having stone skin is just for looks at the moment. If we can figure out who can do what, we may have an easier time of it.

Also, does anyone know whether there's any food in this place? I don't know what the store names on the directory relate to; for all I know "Forever21" might sell 21 kinds of soup.

Addendum: Read this Please! According to

dual_wield_hax, zombies can be killed by destruction of the brain. This means decapitation, crushing the skull, or piercing attacks directed at the head. If you want to put a zombie down for good, this is how.

That could help. If nothing else it's an extra layer for them to have to try to get through before they can bite. Then either they'd need to be strong enough to force their way through, or we'd have to extract them on our way back - otherwise we'd be abandoning them to the zombies, no matter how well-protected they are.

Tethering them might work too. That way, if they're overwhelmed, we can pull them back to safety. I'm sure some of these stores have to have rope for home improvement.

Now there's a thought. I don't think this place has a second floor, but if we're quick enough closing a window after we haul them in... Or if we could get onto the roof somehow, I suppose.

So that's three people at minimum - a runner to get to the food court, a distraction, and someone to haul the distraction in after. We'd need more than that in practice, of course, if we were going to get supplies for everyone, but that's the theory.

...I've got the mental image of holding a distraction over the zombies like a pinata, and I'm not sure if it's stupid or brilliant.

... I was just thinking of lowering them down and pulling them back up, but that might actually be safer, provided you actually could hold them up there.

You're right, though, it's kind of ridiculous.

But if it might work, we should at least try it. And make sure we've got a backup line in case the first rope fails.

Well, of course. If we're actually doing that, we can't exactly rely on just one.

If we can manage to get to the roof, I can try it. Unless there's someone else who might be stand up to them better.

Mm. We should probably get those pads before we try anything, just in case. And that's assuming there is a way to the roof.

We might be able to try the air ducts. They look big enough. But I'd definitely want to get the rope first--I don't exactly trust them not to collapse.

Oh, well, yes, obviously. It would be a problem if they broke through somewhere like those stores that are open to the outside.

So if this plan is viable, that's another person we need--someone to guard the entrance just in case the zombies can climb.

They cannot. I have been bitten twenty seven times and none of them have penetrated my armor.

Is there any access to the roof? Don't try and get up there--I just need to know if the zombies can get up there easily.

There is a service walkway. I have barricaded it with a trash bin. Zombies cannot climb.

Okay, good. Thanks. We can defend that if we need.

There is no house of knives in there is there? That would be too easy though.

That would probably be the dinnerware aisle.

Huh. I guess they couldn't really make a robot not metal, but that still makes you about the only one I've seen with really effective armor.

Also, thanks for the trash bin thing. Even if they can't climb it's something less to worry about.

I am seeing about walking into Target and clearing out the zombies in there, and make it accessible for re-equipping oneself.

I will stack another trash bin atop it just to make sure.

That would be helpful, but don't feel like you have to do everything alone. I'm fairly sure there are a lot of zombies in there.

I will not risk people getting hurt. [or killed] I am immune, and thus the best chance for exterminating the lot.

It's admirable, but some of us at least have risked worse before.

You know, we used to have a lot of Cybertronians on the community, but most of them seem to have dropped off the radar. I don't know if they'd actually be immune, since I think they're some sort of organic robot, but they're big and strong, which would help.
