I suppose whatever this community is has trapped me for good. Don't worry about explanations. It didn't take long to sort through the preceding records, as well as find the temporary solution of posting and resigning myself to my fate.

Since this does seem to be a public forum, I have a question. What do any of you do when somebody very important, both to you and the world at large, insists upon being irresponsible?

I think giving them some sort of minder is probably the best option you have, short of dragging them about on a leash. My employer has encountered... similar issues before.

Though it's nice to see someone who has the foresight to read things over before posting to complain. Too many people who would do that are the sort to complain about how the community can't possibly exist.

If the head of her personal guard didn't just let her go off and do what she wants, maybe things would be a lot more manageable! I'm sure she's safe, but there is that worry as well as the obvious...

Mm. My lord's brother is the same way. He hasn't quite got a personal guard, but that has more to do with the fact that he could probably knock them all over like ninepins himself.

In any relationship, you have to be able to take a stand for what's best for you and for them. Otherwise it isn't healthy.

I suppose the only real option is to be blunt, and state your case as clearly as possible; particularly the consequences of their actions.

How serious is this situation?

I have faith in her to make it in time, but I may have to physically drag her. Unfortunately, I also have faith in her... habits.
