[ The video starts with Edgar bursting in through a door, happily calling out Lydia's name as she sits, looking a little exhausted in front of a table. ]

Lydia! Thank goodness, you weren't hurt.

[ Lydia doesn't look particularly amused. ] Right... Thanks to you, I was saved by Raven just in time. [ Even if it's probably because Edgar had Raven tailing her.. ]

Also this thing. I've brought it back for you, Miss Lydia.

[ Raven places an imported can of mackerel fillets on the table. ]

Ah... Thank you.. [ Lydia still isn't looking too impressed. It's not like it was even hers, it was Nico's. ]

...Lydia.

[ Edgar looks a little more serious now though. ] Can you please bring a maid or Raven with you the next time you go out? Don't go out alone.

[ Lydia starts, leaning forward in her seat. ]

Why? Please don't fuss over such a small thing! I'm not even part of nobility--

This is not Scotland, and the Queen has eyes everywhere. If you don't agree, the people will look down on you.

[ Lydia crosses her arms, looking a little more irate as she's scolded. ]

The Earl is well known- It is best for you to also be mindful about your manners, anytime and anywhere. Moreover, you may also want to think of it this way: So long as you keep your manners, even if they see you talk with fairies, people will think of it as your personality and accept you. You'll no longer be treated as an outsider.

[ There's a small pout on Lydia's lips, but.. ]

But, I disagree. [ To which Edgar and Raven both look a little surprised. ...Well, maybe Raven not so much. He's the king of being expressionless after all. But Edgar looks taken aback. Lydia looks positively offended. ]

Even though what you say is true, isn't it that you only want me to become your companion for opera shows and when you can dress me up nicely? I knew it. I don't want to be treated by you like this--

It's not that, Lydia. [ Edgar has his hand on the back of her chair now, leaning forward so his lips are barely an inch from her ear. Lydia's tensed like ten times more than she had been, her face flushed now. She can see the softness of his lashes, the golden shine of his hair in such proximity.. his skin practically sparkles like some kind of strange romantic vampire novel character. Even Lydia can't help but admit in her head how gorgeous he is sometimes, and it catches her breath sometimes when he gets in close like this.. and yes, describing how beautiful Edgar is is absolutely important to this post, it totally is and believe me when I say this single paragraph is succinct compared to the usual two pages the novel likes to plug in about how much of a freaking Adonis he is and Nikki was teasing me while I edited this so it has to be in here now.

So anyway, as he leans in with enough bishounen sparkling beauty to completely overshadow any other thoughts it's possible for anyone to have at this moment, his voice lowers to a whisper in Lydia's ear. ] The reason for that was because I wanted to treat you like a lady, because you are very precious to this Earl.

What..

You were the one who gave me the Earl's title, so it doesn't just belong to me, but also you. [ A soft smile pulls to Edgar's soft lips, pink as a peony on a bright spring day, as Lydia turns her face to look him in his ash-mauve eyes, the two still quite close. Close enough that Lydia could certainly feel his breath gently caressing her skin. ] As a fairy doctor, you are my most important partner. What I'm saying is..

What..?

[ Edgar leans in closer, near her cheek now.. ] That is.. I wish you will be by my side forever.

[ Lydia freezes, her eyebrow twitching for a second before she gets up from the chair with her fists balled up and starts yelling as she stands up and stomps to the other side of the room with her face bright pink. ]

That's enough! I get the point, so stay away from me!

[ Edgar sighs only briefly, not moving from the chair but his smile turns a little less soft, with just a hint of wear. ]

Forget what I said if you're not happy.. Shall we move on to the next topic?

[ Lydia turns around, looking curious now. The video fades, flashing forward a bit like it's totally skipping some exposition here. ]

Mist fairy..?! What did the mist fairy do?

Actually, the investigation team recently arrived. She wishes to have a talk with you. Of course, she just wants to know what the fairy doctor has to say. Do you mind meeting her right now?

[ Lydia looks surprised, but nowhere near the same way as when Edgar surprises her with his affections. No, she looks.. amazed, perhaps? That someone actually wants to see her. ]

Yes!

[ Raven gets the door and Edgar heads out of it, then Lydia quickly after. ]

[Greed is clearly posting from a dark, underground bar, not terribly well lit. But watching that sparkly bishounen glimmer rush still requires him to have his sunglasses on.]

8 points; smooth start, had a little trouble, but still had a pretty clean landing.

[ Lydia's reply actually comes a few hours later. She's in her room at her father' house with a gray cat sleeping on the bed, in a different dress with a black hat on the desk next to her. ]

I'd put it more as an attempt at a smooth landing followed by continuing straight on into a lake, where he is presently on a small boat with another woman.

[ Lydia went home a little earlier. ]
