[It's Ellie again, looking a little scuffed up and with her jaw slightly swollen, sitting in front of a large man in what appears to be an office. She seems nonchalant as he reads off a list of old marks against her.]

Let's see....fighting, theft, running away...fighting. [Apparently that needed to be said twice.] Disobeying orders...[Nonplussed, she scratches under her nose.] And more fighting. Do you have anything to say?

[When she apparently doesn't, he stands up and walks around his desk.] Do you know what stands between the hordes of infected and all the straggles living in the city?

A giant concrete wall?

[Since this wasn't the answer he was looking for, his mouth opens wide to yell at her when the video cuts off, only to open again a little later. She has a bucket and wash towel in her hand, standing on front of a car. This time she notices the recording.]

That guy pisses me off! He didn't do anything to the people who started the damn fight! [She kicks at the tire. Sniffing, she rubs a hand under her nose again.] Now I have to clean this fucking car.

[She dips the rag into the bucket before bringing it back up, wet and sudsy.] Is it like this everywhere?

I was! [She'd sit there and let him name off all of her offenses without a word, even though not all of them were her fault.

Keep my head down, do as I'm told. I'm so SICK of hearing that. [She pauses, trying to get her anger under control. Her jaw just really hurts and this is just her first day here.] Sorry, I just...

[She sighs, putting the cloth back into the bucket.] It's been a bad day.

[he just blinks at her sudden outburst, not blaming her or anything for feeling that way.]

Even with some mention of it being a safe house in yet another unfortunate world, he can't call it fortunate, but he can grasp that it's really not the hell that people should damn well think it is. It's because some worlds are just wrong. After a long silence after trailing off, he mumbles around a cigarette.] A-yup. They do all suck.

I'm glad you're okay, even if you got punished for it. It's better than someone getting seriously hurt, isn't it?

[But she looks down, a hand going to her cheek. Even if it' swollen, it's not that bad and she's had much worse. Still, on top of everything else that day, it's just a sign of how much it sucked there.]

It'd been better if those jerks didn't try to take my stuff. ][But it's nice to hear someone say they were glad she was okay.] But thanks. Means a lot to me.
