Ciao everyone! Halloween is coming almost here and I wanted to show you the costume I picked out. Some classmates of mine are having a party...and I'm going!

[She grins broadly before stepping away. The full view reveals that Izumi is wearing a costume. She spins, causing the skirt to twirl. She laughs giddily and winks at the camera.]

So, what do you think? It's my first time going to a party with my classmates, so I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Yeah! I used to watch the show a lot when I was younger.

So did I. It was my favorite anime.

...at least that's how I remember it, but with all this timeline nonsense I think I'm actually too young now.

Did you ever notice how, in long-running television shows and manga and such, the characters stay the same age even though the year keeps pace with reality?

Hm...I guess so, now that you mention it.

Well, that seems to be how my world works. I turned fifteen in 2007, and since then I've turned fifteen again every year.

What? Seriously???

Seriously. I know from viruses that I have an older future self, but it's anyone's guess when I'll actually get to be her.

Huh. I wonder if that's something the community's doing or some other force?

[oceanicbutterfly]

It might just be some rule of my world. There were some rather significant events that happened in 2008 that also seem to have happened in Sakagami-san's world, which makes me think they would have happened without the community's influence, but I don't really know if that actually means anything.

But do worlds really just work like that naturally...?

I don't even know.

That sounds really tough. Being the same age for that long...ouch.

There are certainly some things I wish would hurry up and happen. But honestly the most awkward part is having community people grow up around me.

I can imagine! I don't know how I'd handle something like that.

I suppose it's nice to know I'll be able to watch the younger members grow up.

I don't know if I'd consider that nice. Watching everyone grow while you're still the same...

It sounds worse like that. I suppose it's a matter of perspective, though.

[God dammit Izumi look what you did. The one thing she thought was nice about this, and now you've gone and ruined it.]

Ah, sorry. I probably shouldn't have brought it up.

No, it's all right. I'm the one who got us onto this subject in the first place.

Well, sure! There must be plenty of things you can do now that you wouldn't be able to when you're older, right?

I've certainly been able to get a lot of studying done. I'll be well prepared for medical school when I eventually get there.
