Okay, that took a lot less time than I thought it would.

So after working pretty much nonstop after I got back and everything--and a certain somebody's Rider War spilling over onto Mirinoi--we managed to get electricity and everything restored to what we're now calling Terra Venture City. We're still working out a few bugs here and there, and the villagers are really helping out--and the other Rangers and I are working hard to act as liaisons between both cultures.

And I've got a few embarassing stories about how things really didn't work out so well at first, but I've been working on cataloguing the native plants and helping figure out nutritional stuff, so I really need a break. What's going on with everyone?

Less that problem and more things like, oh, fruit that ripens fermented. That was an experiment.

Oh hahaha, yeah that would be a problem. I'm sure Kanade would get so mad at me for bringing that kind of fruit with me.

Yeah, I'm still kind of embarrassed about what happened that time.

Well it happened and now you know not to use it again in cooking, or eaten plainly right?

They were berries, so it was really easy to end up eating more than we really should have. We've pressed them now and bottled them--that's for adults only now.

Haha yeah I'd bet. Kind of like grapes but not, right?

A little, yeah. It's really hard finding comparisons, to be honest, and things that look delicious to Mirinoians wind up looking really unappetizing to Earthlings sometimes.

Well, alien foods and all. I wouldn't be surprised if there were hybrids grown later on.

Well, for right now, we're trying to keep all Earth plants sealed up in greenhouses--we want to control any and all hybridization so we don't accidentally devastate the wildlife.

Yeah that's a good plan. You really don't want to get them mixed up with local wildlife. What happens if a major animal species is allergic or something?

Not to mention Earth allergies versus Mirinoian allergies. Maya never showed any sign she was allergic to the Earth-native plants and animals on Terra Venture, but that might not be the case for anyone younger or older than her, and we don't know what's going on. So I'm going to be busy for a while helping doctors and everyone try and get this figured out.

Oooh yeah. What WOULD happen with that? Best to check really before someone gets sick.

Which is why I'm going to be insanely busy for the next few weeks and begging for a break.

Ooogh. Good luck with that. You need to sleep and eat regularly though.

Don't worry, I plan to. That's also why I'm looking around here--give myself something to relax.
