[Kaitou's back is to the camera this time around as he seems to be listening to a news report. Or rather more like a DJ proclaiming over the iPad he was using to read while having breakfast.]

HELLO ZAWAME CITY! Big big news today! Even with the rankings of Team Gaim shooting up the ranks, Team Baron holds steadfast! But today we see the debut of a new fighter on the foe!

[A video appears in the corner of the screen as a image of Kaitou protecting a kid while firing on a monster that emerges from the mirror.]

This new Beat Rider isn't affiliated with the street teams and everyone is going wild at the unknown man in the Inves Game! Who is he? He seems to come with his very own Sengoku Blaster!

[A clear view of Kaitou transforming on the screen is shown as he continues to fire, summoning two Riders to the fray as the kid is staring in awe.]

He defeated the monster by summoning two Armored Riders, Shiroi and Violeto! What sportsmanship! What flair!

[The last shot showed the three Riders prepare their final attacks, Den-O Gun's blast tearing into the monster, Wing's boomerangs slashing at him and finally Kaitou's Dimension Blast hammering into the monster before it exploded into flames.]

OH! That had to hurt! It was the end for these enemies so lets call him Armored Rider The End! WHOOO! And just remember you can't vote for The End in the rankings unless he's affiliated with the Beat Riders!

[With a sigh, Kaitou leaned back in his chair, taking a savage bite of banana.] You know... I thought I could, just once, deal with this kind of shenanigans somewhere else. Nope. So... Armored Rider The End... not bad...

We both know you're probably going to end up there at a dramatically bad moment and will have to save the day from actual like baddy evil. Its like, a Rider THING.

That'll probably happen when the games turn serious by some outside force. [Like Mister Dangerous's debut this week.]

I should look up this Armored Rider thing on the community, and see if I can't drag up information. That Lock Seed dealer Cid drained my wallet when I picked up a bunch of Lockseeds for the kid.

And things will escalate with no way to stop them but to keep going and then boom! Big final brawl thing!

You better tell me when that happens so I can record it. I just might be able to use it to see if the guys on my world are after the Riders or the monsters. [See? He's not a total doofus]

And yeah, I'll look it up. It shouldn't take long, unless the community is hiding things from us. It can do that sometimes.

Lockseeds are the items they use to play this Inves Game. You summon monsters to fight against one another, and as long as you hold onto the Lockseed the monster is under your control. It might be an alternate universe, but I worry it might be the main universe.

Huh? That kind of sounds like those Pocket Monster games.

Heh yeah.

It kind of does, but Inves come in grades basically. But with a Sengoku Driver they seem to be able to summon the Inves completely, instead of being half-materialized.

And your gun works similarly to them? Maybe the tech in it is based off the Driver? Or vice versa?

My gun is programmed to recognize Rider Information printed on what is essentially psychic paper of a sort. It's a specialized card stock that allows the materialization of weapons, armor and forms. So kind of.

Huh. Maybe you should look into finding one of those blasters then. Poke around on the inside and stuff. I mean, if the Inves can be summoned completely with it, what happens if the thing that keeps them under control turns off? Something to look into at least.

I believe they're using belts though. The Sengoku Blaster is something the guy made up on the spot. I'll look around though and see if I can't find anything interesting.

No no noooooo. Well, a bit, but even ignoring that, you know something's gonna go down with them, so you should take a look to see if there's anything shady about them.

[Kaitou laughed a little as he continued to check some of the catalogues for the lockseeds.]

I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually. I can probably afford a B-rank for you if you really want it.

It's not cheap. [And he gives a number. It's not outrageous but it's definitely high.]

Yeesh, I'm gonna have to get a job to pay you back. But I have been thinking about getting one for a while now...

You may have to. Can't believe kids these days put up with this kind of cutthroat pricing for monster summoning items.

Truly its a horrible world when kids are getting monsters at jacked up prices from skinflint merchants. [srs nod of disappointment] Oh well, I couldn't afford it on my own without going to my parents and they'd never believe me. [And now he's facing to the left and then the right, as if having a little conversation]

"Oh hey dad! Nice to see you around! Say, you mind giving me a lot of money to afford a monster summoning device?"
"Son, why do you want to summon monsters? That's not how I raised you! And how are you going to get it? Also no, that's way too much money!"

It's a terrible shame when the price is overwhelming. You make a good actor though.
