I know I haven't been around as much as I should lately, but I wanted to come on and wish you all a happy holiday. Last Christmas was, well, interesting to say the least, but I met a boy who had to wait a very long time for a happy Christmas. I hope that none of you have to wait like he did. I'm sure you all celebrate different things, what with all the different worlds out there, but whatever you're celebrating, I hope you have a good time with the people you care about.

What kind of celebrations do you all celebrate around this time? I'm curious to hear!

Christmas mostly, but when I was little, Mom would do something special for the Lunar New Year, since she's from Vietnam. Dad's not, so while she was in jail, we never did anything. But now that he left and Mom's back home, maybe the two of us will do that again.

Your mom was in jail?

Yeah, for theft. [Among other things, but she's trying not to mention that.] She got out a couple of months ago, and she really wants to turn her life around.

Yeah, especially when I've known everyone else from my old school all my life.
