[While it wasn't odd to see someone who was discovering this interconnection between realities, it was rather unusual to see someone who was figuring out this stage and who also had an animal tail. While his Master probably knew what sort of tail it was, he had never taught Legato about marine life, as the subject had never come up between them. Living on a desert planet didn't really allow to discussions about marine life.

While his curiosity was worthless, Legato couldn't deny that he was interested in this person, so he typed back a response.]

While it is not obvious, what you're holding allows you to communicate to others that live in different theaters than you do. It is a strange but interesting device. However..why do you have a tail?

And what is a shrimp? An animal of some sort, judging by the clues in this script, but I don't know what sort of animal. And how can part of you look like a completely different animal while the other half looks human?

[This would be a long explanation. It's worth noting that from the video, one could probably tell that Cherryblod's underwater.]

A shrimp is a kind of crustacean - a marine animal with a shell. Most of the people living here in the Sea Kingdom are some kind of aquatic animal, and we either have two forms we shift between, a humanoid one and a nonhumanoid one, or we only have one or the other.

For example, I just have this shape, my wife is only able to take a more lobsterlike form, and our daughter can shift between a humanoid and a lobster.

[Well, if most of them were marine animals, even if some wore costumes that poorly disguised them as trash, it would make sense that their world was underwater. While the thought of a world with oceans was strange, it wasn't unusual, considering the circumstances and the fact that Legato had already encountered a world that had snow. A world with water in another form wasn't too much of a stretch, really.]

I see. The reality I am in is quite different. Most of us are human, and while it would be an interesting plot twist, none of us can turn into sea creatures. This world is also devoid of any water on the surface.
