[Clove is looking... kind of terrible. She's in a forest, and it doesn't look like she's had a shower (or a decent meal, or a good night's sleep) in weeks, if not more.

She's also apparently not alone. Before saying anything, she glances over her shoulder to make sure no one is watching her, and when she does speak it's in a quiet tone.]

I need supplies. Food mostly, and better weapons-- my knives are going dull, and I don't have any sharpening tools.

... We weren't supposed to be out here this long.

It's likely not his fault; the community locks worlds all the time. Its possible all we can provide is information.

I don't think that's going to be any help.

You might be surprised. The community can access any computer network, after all. You could use it to scout for enemies and the like.

What kinds of resources do you have around you? Even if you don't know about if the plants are edible, there have to be at least some small animals you can trap.

As for the knives, you can try sharpening them against stones, but you'll have to be careful.

I know a little bit about edible plants. And trapping.

[She was taught enough to survive short-term, but... this is long-term.

She shakes her head, frustrated.]

I know all this. But I don't know how long we're going to be out here, and knives can't be sharpened on stones forever. Two of them broke already.

Your best chance may be getting to the city.

If you get high enough into the trees, you might be able to start mapping things out. Otherwise, what are your options on forming an alliance?

[The two best tree-climbers are the girls from Districts 12 and 11. She hates the girl from 12, and the girl from 11 is 12's ally. Whoops.]

We thought about that. None of these trees are good for climbing.

[Or none of them are good for climbing trees-- that's more accurate.]

And we already have an alliance. There are four of us. Everyone else ran off.
