Hmm. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that my universe has more bio-organic machines than mechanical ones. For us, it is far easier to jurry-rig a corpse into a servant than create a completely metal android. I understand that is not usually the case in other universes.

I grew up on a world where neither is possible. But on the worlds I live in now, the latter is far more likely, yes.
