A cry for help!

So, I was told by Miroku to ask the entire community for help on how to deal with a problem.

You see, I am a teacher, and my class is full of students who each have a different quirk to them that makes teaching very difficult, and I'm worried about them. One likes to pull the tails of animals and hang them on the walls of her house, one has to do everything perfectly or will go insane, one doesn't speak at all and only communicates through e-mail (and only sends INSULTING HATE MAIL), one likes yaoi and manga a little too much, one only sees things in a positive light and is too naive to see that the world is full of negativity, one stays locked up in a room at the school and never returns home (being a hikkikomori), and one is a stalker that follows me everywhere! SHE'S RIGHT BEHIND ME AS I TYPE THIS!!

Oh, and there's a normal girl in our class, but you don't have to worry about her.

So, if anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with this despairing class, please REPLY!!!

I can't offer you much help with most of those casesand, admittedly, i'm torn between being confused and afraid, but what's wrong with seeing things in a positive light?

Ah, kids. They can be a real handful. How about trying to see each of their lives from their point of view? Might get a better understanding of how their mind works.

Good point. You still might want to treat each case individually. There has to be sound reason why they do these things.

Pulling tails off animals? Isn't that a bit cruel?

And one of your students is reading gay porn?

How old are these kids?

Where the Hell do you teach?!

[identity profile] theonlysunshine.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought the country that was doing that was India?

And isn't the economy a little besides the point of this post?

Put them through basic combat training. It does wonders for disipline.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Then why are you teaching there in the first place?

Simply hire someone else to do it then. It shouldn't be too hard.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Did you know what you were getting into when you applied?

Maybe some sort of after school program then? I could lend you my training commader if you really need help.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-09-29 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
But not that specific class? I see.

Make it mandantory, then run in the other direction?

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
...

Have you ever thought that one of your main problems is that you worry too much? If you relax a bit your problems might not seem so dire.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-09-30 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Despairing? How so? My children have much stranger habits.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-01 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Other than being able to shoot lazerbeams from their eyes? Let me put it this way. They've been children for 1000 years, and have found about as many ways to irritate me as their are stars in the sky.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-03 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
...what I was trying to say was that I still care about my children, and they are still good people. Their habits can sometimes be irritating, but its what makes them unique and worth teaching.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-03 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
What, specifically, concerns you?

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-04 04:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I find it hard to believe that a young female teenager would stalk you constantly. Have you talked to her about it?

...are you an economcs teacher? Is that why the economy worries you so much?

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-10 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm. Maybe you could take out a 'restraining order'?

You have a wide range of subjects. How big is your school?

I'm afraid I don't have that problem. My universe is quite different from yours.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-17 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
From what I've learned its a government permit that forbids someone from approching you.

I suppose that could be a good thing. Maybe you can get to know your students better then.

Really? All in comparison, I suppose. There are definatly Parts of my universe that are dreadful, just not all of it.

[identity profile] hok-ton.livejournal.com 2007-10-23 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
And here I thought your government was a wash of beuracracy. Then again, I suppose you must weigh santiy vs. embarisment to get one.

Maybe you'll understand them better if you just give it time.

On the positive side, you're not a shambling zombie or a pesant, correct?

Have a John Carpenter marathon. The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, Vampires. At the very least, it'll give everyone food for thought. At the best, Carpenter will give them nightmares.
