[Bound Diary] An old diary bound with red cord
Chitose has been playing a game with the other children lately. It is a game where you say four things about yourself. However, only one of the four things is true! Then, the other players must guess which is true.  If one player cannot guess it, another one can.

I thought that this might be a good game for everyone here.

Would anyone be interested in playing?

Community, do you believe in ghosts?

Bound Journal 04 [Brainwashing--Strikes Visible]
I cannot talk sense into Sae...

No matter what Yae and I say, she will not listen.

I... do not want to lose her.  Not like I lost Mutsuki.

I wonder... if we are brainwashed when we are born.  Into liking the things we like, doing the things we do.
Do we believe the things we believe because we honestly do, or because we are told to believe them?

What do you think, "community"?

[strikes can be seen as always]
I am curious.

Do any of you have any special rituals where you live?

Perhaps something simple as prayer or as complicated as sacrifices ceremonies?

I am interested as to the beliefs and followings of other places.

((OOC: I'm sorry if anyone finds this offensive in any way, shape or form. Itsuki's canon is really, really controversial, and I don't want to step out of bounds.  Please just tell me if you're like "OMG I DONT LIKE THIS D<"))

[Bound Diary 03] An old diary bound with a red cord
I have to wonder, Journal-Community-People...

Do you all think that our fates are decided when we're born?

Or can you change them?

Are we destined to make the choices we do?

Should we bother trying to fight it?

[Bound Diary 02] An old diary bound with a red cord. He tries again.
Perhaps because of my discussing my family, like Maraich-san pointed out, I confused you all.  I'm sorry.

I never thought someone would respond, though.  Like I said--books don't write back when you write in them.

So what is this thing?  And how does it work?  And who are you all?

And what is this about different times and different worlds?

[Bound Diary 01] An old diary bound with a red cord. It is an introduction.

I’ve never seen a journal that’s written back to you before.  This is strange.  I wonder what Mutsuki would have thought of it.  Maybe I’ll have Chitose show it to Ryozo-san later.  Makabe-san would probably find it interesting.  He enjoys things that stand out—that’s why he came to the village.  Every time I flip the page, a new person is writing, and sometimes even pictures that move show up.  Sometimes, I’ll hear people speaking.  I’ve been watching this for a few weeks, so I suppose I’m writing to see if anyone responds.  Of course, if I’m just going insane like I think I might be, it’s probably all a figment of my imagination.  Maybe showing this to Ryozo-san is a bad idea.  Mutsuki made me promise not to lose hope, to stay sane.  But ever since that day, my hair is white and I’m alone.  The ceremony master said it was because of the pain I felt from not being one with Mutsuki, from failing to make him a butterfly.

Why didn’t it work, Mutsuki?

Why did you not become a butterfly?

…My name is Itsuki Tachibana.  Perhaps one of you in this book… can tell me what it is?

((Strikes can be seen—they are scratched out with pen, not erased.))
