[He gives a pleasing smile.]

Can you tell me more about these other worlds?

[shiningwaters]

I don't know a whole lot about the worlds found here, but there are many more than I've ever seen. Worlds where people with powers or magic are common, and worlds where it's unheard of.

[sebastian_verlac]

Magic? You speak of it so freely.

[His face becomes slightly more guarded.]

Are you a Downworlder?

[shiningwaters]

It's fairly normal where I'm from.

What's a Downworlder?

[sebastian_verlac]

It's... a name for certain beings in my world. Warlocks, vampires, werewolves, faeries... Are you any of those?

[shiningwaters]

No, I'm human. Just one with magical abilities.

[sebastian_verlac]

Then you're not simply a Mundane either.

[shiningwaters]

Things may not be as easy to classify here as they are where you're from. There are a lot of people here who are perfectly normal humans who just happen to have magic. And there are others who aren't human who don't have magic.

[sebastian_verlac]

[He pauses then offers a smile.]

I apologise. I'm not used to such direct communication with other dimensions. I must have a lot to learn.

[After a moment, Aqua smiles lightly too.]

It's all right. It's strange for everybody when they first find the community.

[sebastian_verlac]

So this happens a lot?

[shiningwaters]

There's always someone new arriving, and they can't always believe that they're communicating with other worlds.

[sebastian_verlac]

I can believe it. I'm just surprised to have found it in a hand-mirror that was so carelessly left lying around.

[shiningwaters]

The way people access differs too. Some use mirrors, others use books, but most people use computers.

[sebastian_verlac]

What are computers?

[shiningwaters]

They're a kind of machine that allow people to access a network of shared information and communication.

I don't know how to explain it well, I'm sorry. They're not common where I'm from.

[sebastian_verlac]

I guess I might find out more if I speak to enough people here.

[shiningwaters]

We're always willing to help around here. Well, most of us, at least.

[sebastian_verlac]

It sounds very friendly.

[shiningwaters]

For the most part, it is. There are a few people who would rather be left alone, though.

Don't they have to merely not use their mirror or books then?

[shiningwaters]

The community tends to intrude on people's personal lives if they don't answer enough. Events from their lives, personal calls, things like that.

[sebastian_verlac]

How could it intrude?

[shiningwaters]

I'm not sure how it works, but it suddenly becomes available and records important things. For example, if someone ignored the community for a while and then went on a date, the community could suddenly start recording and broadcasting the date to everyone with access.
