To the members of this community,

I am certain that everyone is aware of the importance in the entity of power. Logically, a certain amount of strength is necessary for survival.

However, history has proven many instances where people have succumbed to their greed of acquiring too much power. They can be easily led down the wrong path, and then left wandering around in the eternal darkness of their own creation. Power that exceeds reasonable limitations would likely cause fear and discontentment amongst many of the bystanders affected by the carrier.

And yet, in spite of knowing these dangers, people continue to have the desire to become stronger, and some pursue their goal relentlessly, regardless of the possible consequences.

Those of you that may have been affected by, or even experienced this ordeal, what would you be willing to risk, and perhaps even relinquish completely, in the pursuit of power? How does one decide which point is appropriate to stop?

Signed,
Gaara of the Desert

The rush of power through your blood. The horror on your opponents face. A pretty crimson color that doesn't belong to you staining your hands. All kinds of enjoyment. Everything. Especially the sick sounds of internal organs failing when you damage them without harming the skin. Heh.

Though I don't just go after power for the thrills. I'll admit that there is only one person, aside from Orochimaru-sama, that I wish to aid.

Not exactly. Though, I know a person claiming he's the prince of sadists. I just like to come up with creative ways to get rid of those who stand in our way.

... of course. He means a lot to me, he...he's the only one I would consider my family.

Heh, Ukon wasn't the favorable child of our family. I didn't think that was very fair just because he can't move around by himself for very long, so we've always been close brothers despite from time to time our ideas may differ. Siblings are important, but only if they're willing to help each other out and not stand in the way.

He goes by the name Sougo Okita. Crazy kid, really. I'm sure that there are others just like him on this community.
