Lately it's become apparent that several of our newer non-human members are from species that don't have families, nor do they particularly understand what they are. As someone with quite a bit of experience with the various forms that they can take, I've decided to take it upon myself to write up an explanation of some of the most common family ties.

This is far from an exhaustive list, but it's a starting point, at least. If anyone has any questions, I'm currently lying in bed with a broken leg; I have nothing to do but answer them.

Can someone explain why this thing is floating around on the Internet?

[In a candle lit hallway you see Xelloss press his back against a corner. He stays motionless for exactly three seconds before overtly stalking towards the camera; halfway there a twitch crosses his face.]

[A hand pats down his travel bag, where the book should've been. It's there but...]

[He stops and leans forward, smiling and tapping a finger on his lips. He gives an idle wave and the video cuts off.]

[ooc: this is plot-related but never expanded on (only implied), and it doesn't become important until later. Took cues from the novels so Xelloss is infiltrating a cult for a specific Claire Bible manuscript he heard they had. It isn't the same cult though.

So I decided just this once I was going to dress up and have a good time at one of these silly parties I always get stuck going to.

Who wants to help me pick out a dress for the occasion? I'm open to any suggestions.

Since I've got some time to kill before I take my cargo to Alderaan, I gotta ask how many people here actually uses the term 'pirate' and gets away with it. Hate to say it, but it's just an invitation to get shot.

But, I digress. If there are you types around, that means that there's gotta be ships and I'm kind of curious about how they all look like in these "other worlds". I doubt they're as great as the Falcon, but you get what you're given right? [then he realizes that Scotty is a part of this comm and there's only so much he deal with the Enterprise. Even though, given the chance he'd steal a bunch of parts from it.] If your ship is the Enterprise, spare me. I already know.

I travel a lot and I liked that everyone I knew from home was on it. When I wasn't around for while we could still talk every day. I didn't really think it'd be that easy for that to just go away. Back to not talking for months at a time again... I don't even think they remember any of it. Anyone here.

It looks like Peter's gone too. I guess it was too good to be true.

How often to people come back?

[ The grounds of the Xiaolin Temple look pristine and bright in the early morning light. Sitting innocently in the middle of the whitewashed courtyard is a single plush figure. It looks rather frayed around the edges, and an eyes is missing on it's woven face, but other than that it's in pretty good shape.

Suddenly, it's struck by a brilliant ball of flames. Kimiko darts and leaps around, performing a series of complex kung fu moves. She doesn't seem to realize that she's being filmed, far too caught up in her training exercises. Her hand plunged into the brown satchel sitting on her hip, and she withdraws a small handful off bird-shapes darts.]

Arrow Sparrow!

[With that cry, she tosses the darts at the burning bit of plush; the pieces of metal catching fire as they whistle through the air. The figuring explodes in a single flash of heat. Kimiko punches her fist in the air, blue eyes dancing with light.]

Hello, everyone. As it's August, or at least it is on my world, I thought it would be best to put up a reminder about virus support efforts. Yes, you can still volunteer under any category or suggest a new category all together.

As per usual, Jane Foster has a probable virus schedule located here. Since we didn't have a virus last month, it seems highly likely we will be hit by two of them this month.

Also, if you've any suggestions for a better name than Virus Support Network, I'd be glad to hear it.
