It's true you may not be my subordinate Major Elric, but just because you have a buffoon like Mustang as your commanding officer does not mean that you are excluded from filling in the usual paperwork given to an officer of your standing.

I've handed in all relevant paperwork to the colonel some time back; I don't really have anything else to do for the moment, and I've applied for the necessary permission to ~~slack off~~ do research in the library.
