Team Two - Rescuing Yunalesca

[RL - ShinRa Building - Gaia]

Kadaj stands near the base of the building, making a final check of Team Two.

"Everyone..." He sighs and shakes his head. These kind of speeches don't come easily to him. "I just wanted to say... you've risked a lot by coming here, and you didn't have to, and I know I haven't exactly been the nicest person and I don't really deserve all this help, but... thank you."

He shrugs and draws his sword then, nodding at everyone and turning to face the ShinRa Building.

"Now... let's go kick some ShinRa ass."

He sprints across the tarmac, avoiding the main entrance and choosing instead to aim for the plain-looking door at the side of the building, which leads to the maintenance stairs. He frowns as he glances at the electrical lock; obviously, Rufus ShinRa has installed more security devices since the last time his building was infiltrated.

"Damn it!" he snarls, glancing back at the rest of the team. "Anyone any good with these things?"

*There is a crackling noise as a Twilight portal materializes at the base of the ShinRa building. Shortly after, Ian tumbles out and the portal disappears.*

...That's the last time I ask for a ride from a shadow.

*He picks himself up and throws a sheepish glance at Team Two.*

"Ian! You any good with these kind of locks?" Kadaj ushers him over and wastes no time in pointing him at the thing. "Glad you could make it, by the way."

The elite army of ShinRa, SOLIDERS appear from nowhere surrounding the two people.

"We have orders to shoot on sight."

*launches SOLDIERS*

"Nice work, Ian." Kadaj nods his thanks at him, and steps through the door into the stairwell, glancing up at the sixty or so flights. "Huh. It's going to be a hard climb. Better get started."

He begins to make his way up the stairs.

*the Doctor runs to the doorway, noticing that Shiro and Ian have also arrived*

"It's okay, Doctor - everything's going alright so far. We're ready to go in, the others can join us on the 65th Floor."

*Nodding, he takes the sonic screwdriver, and follows Kadaj to the staircase*

*Finally catching up with the group, Nelsha quickly follows Kadaj up the stairs.* This - *huff* - place is so big...!

*he pauses, just a little, and studies her*

*stopping, she turns her head towards the Doctor* Nelsha understands that you're concerned but please... don't worry about Nelsha.

*she faces the staircase, a determined look appearing on her face* Nelsha can't turn back now!

*Nelsha pauses, thinking to herself for just a moment, then starts running up the stairs once again*

Kadaj is already bounding up the stairs, but turns to acknowledge her.

"Just give me a shout if it gets too much, alright? And... expect blood."

She looks away, a little uneasy about the thought of fighting. Nelsha shakes her head, "There's no time, Nelsha said she would help even if it means she has to fight!"

*Inside Brigandier's cockpit, Bart is doing his last minute checkups. 'Boosters, off! Ether machine, ready! Weapons, check!' Tightning his grip on the Gear's control stick, he grins. "All right, everything's all set! Now let's rock and ROLL!"

Outside, Brigandier stands from it's previous kneeling position, ready to assist the teams.*

*A portal appears near the group, followed by Sakura, Tidus, and Zaon.*

"Kadaj!" she yells, releasing Jump as to catch up with the rest of the team members.

Tidus stumbles out of the portal and looks around, trying to get his bearings. The card release doesn't startle him as much this time, but seeing Sakura suddenly jump like a kangaroo on steroids does.

"Woah! Wait up!" He runs up the stairs a little way before realising that he can't keep up. He stops and concentrates for a second, casting Haste on himself. He grins and shoots up the stairs, catching up with Sakura and keeping pace beside her.

*Ian follows Kadaj and the others up the staircase. As he sprints to catch up, he notices the addition of Sakura and Tidus.*

Tidus given Ian a speedy nod. "Hey-there-I-don't-know-you-do-I?"

Zaon rolls his eyes. Rather than charging into the building like the rest of them, he walks (quite slowly) to a dead SOLDIER and examines their weapons. He picks a gun up and looks at it oddly, not sure what he's supposed to do with it. He pulls the trigger and a shot rings in the empty lot.

"It'll do." He gathers some left over explosives and extra ammunition and starts the long run.

*Reality ripples as Link and Ed half-step half-fall through a portal.*

Is this the right -- there they are!

*Link takes off up the stairs after the rest, leaving the Fierce Deity Mask on for the time being.*

Ed's momentarily startled by the abrupt way they arrive on Gaia, but he follows Link, transmuting the arm-grill of his automail into its customary blade as he runs.
