Hey, kids. Capt'n Jack Harkness, pleasure to meet you.
Well, somehow I've ended up by myself. What with Ianto off on a much deserved and needed vacation--actually, it reads kind of like dramatic irony: Ianto Jones, bruised not only his ego, but his face. Fell down the stairs in the hub and onto his head while trying to restrain a Weevil. Concussion and a nasty bruise--matches his shirts, last time I checked. That's what he gets for being cocky. I'll have to teach him how to do it right, hah.
Anyway, with him off and activity "all quiet on the ranch", Gwen's off with Rhys (Rhys "the Rant"? Heh, more like Rhys "the Ronk"--no matter what I do, I can't seem to wash that man out of my hair. ..."South Pacific"? No? Anybody? Maybe I'm getting too old... Culture, people! You twenty-first century guys, you really did miss out on a lot: petticoats, corsets, men in uniform... Am I still talking in parentheses? Tosh'd have my head.God, I miss) doing marital what have you, so I'm here by my lonesome. With Janet, of course, but things're really bad if you think Janet's the idea of a good time. Although...
In any case, here I am. Found something to do. Who knows who could be on here--maybe I'll get to have an actual conversation with a certain Doctor; one that doesn't require running around, now there's a novel idea. Although, with him, it seems to be all about the running. Still, it would do him good to know that he could stop by every once and a while. You know, for a man who can do so much traveling, a man with so much time on his hands, would it really be that hard to visit? It's not like I'm going anywhere anytime soon.
