Thanks to the nature of this community, I seem to have inadvertently managed to get myself in the middle of a situation I'm not qualified to handle. It's hardly any of my business to interfere, but I'd rest easier knowing that something was being done about it.

Are there any counselor types around here who'd be willing to attempt talking to Mr. Karofsky?

Not me myself, but we have a lot of... uh... trained crisis counselors in my military, Anchors.

We've got our fair share at Starfleet, but considering the way this community works, I'm not sure it's possible to have one of ours talk to the lad.

I've been testing some of what I've been told about this place, and so far I haven't managed to make it show itself to anyone in my crew who's not already here.

Aye, same. I'm afraid I may have been a bit short with him, but I've little patience for bullying. I mean well, but I'd much rather leave it in the hands of someone equipped to take care of it.

I have a bit more sympathy knowing why he was doing it. Not so much with patience for that crap, but still.

Believe me, I've got sympathy plenty for the lad. It's a difficult situation all around, because on the one hand, the bullying needs to stop, that's that. On the other, he needs someone to talk to, and he needs an outlet, but trying to get him to listen to reason? I might as well be trying to reason with the Enterprise's hull for all the response I get.

Not a fair comparison. You're an engineer - the hull will probably listen to you more often.
