[Karofsky is dressed up in his Bully Whip outfit with his stupid goddamn beret and is walking Kurt down the hall as his bodyguard of sorts, glancing over his shoulder every now and then. Kurt looks about as pleased with this whole arrangement as you'd expect.

They turn a corner and stop in front of a doorway.]

"Here we are. Third period. French class."

[Dave's voice is very srs bsns. Kurt just nods awkwardly.]

"I'm going to Calculus, so wait inside the classroom after the bell rings 'til I get back to walk you to lunch."

[Kurt nods, glancing about before turning back to Dave.]

"...have you noticed that no one has even said 'boo' to me this week?"

"'Cuz the Bully Whips are protecting you."

"Maaaaybe, but maybe nobody's harassing me this week because nobody cares."

[Dave glances away for a second.] "You're dreamin'."

"Okay, look, I'm not saying that everyone in this school is ready to embrace the gay, but...maybe at least they've evolved to be indifferent."

[Dave just looks at him for a moment, quiet, his expression thoughtful.]

"I see how miserable you are. ...I could just hate you for bullying me, but...now all I see is your pain. You don't have to torture yourself over this."

[Dave's expression is half-bewilderment, half-guilt, half why are you being so nice to me. Kurt eagerly keeps going, even though Dave's eyes are getting red.]

"...I'm not saying you should come out tomorrow. But maybe soon the moment will arise soon when you can."

[The bell rings. Dave shuts his eyes, and he's clearly trying not to get upset.]

"What's wrong?"

[Dave takes off his hat and is breathing hard, trying not to get choked up.]

"I'm so...I'm so freaking sorry, Kurt. ...I'm just so sorry for what I did to you."

[Kurt is wide-eyed but calm.]

"...I know. I know."

[Dave nods, and he seems to calm down a bit, recovering his cool.]

"...cool. Thanks. And you remember...wait for me here. Alright?"

[And then he walks off, relieved.]
