[horribly failed anon;]

I have a question, community, if you will:

Say that one knows that the circumstances surrounding oneself may become a burden upon those one loves. While family support is unquestionable, there are other situations that, if combined with your own circumstances, may prove an unbearable strain. Neither are removable, yet, will cause an unknowing amount of strain on all those involved. What does one do?

((Polite speak translation: The community is chaos and a member of my family is a chaos magnet. The household will be destroyed by chaos if something isn't done. Solutions? All comments are half anon, half failed anon :3.))

[Fortunately for you, he speaks that dialect of Formal and Polite known as Anchor-speak.]

From the sound of things, looks like you need yourselves some stress sinks. You and the people you're taking care of both.

Something, or someone, you can take it out on without needing to worry about them. Something you can dump the stress on.

It sounds like you're a stress sink for other people the way you put it. Which is an honorable and necessary thing, but not for everyone and hard on everyone that tries.

[Be grateful that he's not speaking literally in your case, Kasumi. Well, he hopes not, anyway.]

Then you need stress sinks of your own outside your home, it sounds like. And so do they.

Personally, I never take my Anchor for granted. I'm not saying they do, but they might not understand how much strain they're putting on you.

Generally, worrying about becoming a burden to others leads to letting a problem worsen until it really is something too hard to handle. Best to talk with everybody involved and plan for what you can.

Ah, it's related to this, is it? That is one thing everyone repeats about this place, that it's both unpredictable and unstoppable...

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-12 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Are others in your family connected to this place? If they are, you at least have the benefit of their understanding...

[identity profile] sotobas-lot.livejournal.com 2011-06-13 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I can sympathize with that much. Unfortunately, nobody else on here has any solutions, so it seems. Another here has said that he's discussed it with his family and that they're quite understanding. I wouldn't believe it if I were told as much, but if your family has seen the results already, that should help your case.

And what's the other problem? It sounds like you have two sources of unstoppable chaos.

It's best to talk with them. Family would want to help, not just be willing to.

This place is the problem?

It would be better if they were prepared. It could help some of your worry, too.

I think so too. Good luck.

You can't fix everything, dear. it's better not to try to do it at all sometimes.

You family can take care of themselves, they are worse than the virus. I know. I've been watching. [That is not creepy at all; Eris, not at all.]

Oh you was out of the house. Shipping I think. Akane managed not to poison the food?

They are pretty chaotic.
