I have a question, community, if you will:

Say that one knows that the circumstances surrounding oneself may become a burden upon those one loves. While family support is unquestionable, there are other situations that, if combined with your own circumstances, may prove an unbearable strain. Neither are removable, yet, will cause an unknowing amount of strain on all those involved. What does one do?

((Polite speak translation: The community is chaos and a member of my family is a chaos magnet. The household will be destroyed by chaos if something isn't done. Solutions? All comments are half anon, half failed anon :3.))

Ah. You must have come in the afternoon; I am sorry to have missed you. Akane-chan has been practicing very hard these last few years. She does not mix up the sugar and the salt any longer. I am quite proud of her progress.

...They certainly are very lively. I never quite know when one of Ranma-kun's friends will come to visit, so it does keep me on my toes. Is that what you mean?

So many people does keep it busy, though there haven't been as many now as there were in the past. [Wait. Someone's asking to spend time with her? No one ever has, really.] --I think I would like that. I've had a bit more time to myself, recently; it would be nice to spend it with someone.

I'm sure more will come in the future. [Yes, yes she is~]We used to spend time together, but you don't remember me. I will pick you up then.

[Kasumi waits for Eris in her room, puzzled as to how in the world she would get here. It would be nice to spend time with someone, as a friend. She hasn't done that for a very long time.]

[And not short after she appears, materializing in the middle of the room with her purple dress and her black hair flowing.]Ready, Kasumi?

[Kasumi started at the sudden appearance of a stranger in her room, but quickly accepts that it must be the magic of worldhopping.] Oh, yes. Let us go. [Though to where, she was rather curious. Another world? Oh, it would be a fine thing to go to another world.]

[Eris noticed the surprised look, but just smiled like nothing happened.] Uhm...are you going on dressed like that? [She waves a hand on Kasumi's directions.]

We are going out for drinks, you don't have another sort of dress, sweetheart?

Oh. My apologies. [Kasumi glanced down at her dress; it was her normal housedress.] I do not believe I have anything more suitable.

Oh, I have to do everything. [Permission for Eris to change her clothes into a dress? you can pick the dress of course :C]

I'm sorry, Eris- [And poof, Kasumi is now wearing a rather stylish dress (http://www.fashionfuss.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/bcbgmaxazria-strapless-chiffon-party-dress-1.jpg). She feels much cooler now. Looking down at herself, she's not quite sure what to make of it. Being Kasumi, she simply accepts it and moves on, even though this is not something she would have picked out for herself.] Ah. Thank you. It's lovely.

...where was it that we were going?

That looks so much better. You need a bit of make up too, but maybe we left that for the next occasion. [She bop Kasumi on the nose playfully.] We are going to Manhattan.

[Kasumi goes crosseyed attempting to look at the finger. And look! Make up appears on her face, as well. Kasumi is looking so pretty today.] Manhattan? I have not been there before.

[Not that she has been anywhere before, really.]

[She does look pretty. And sort of sexy. Eris can't wait to see someone trying to flirt with her.]

I know. It's in America. [Eris moves and arms around her, smoke wrapping her like a blanked. Once the smoke is gone, they are in a bar. No one seems to mind the magic entrance, or the fact Eris is still blue skinned. If they do, they sure don't dare to ask.]

I've never been to America-- [Between one blink and the next Kasumi finds herself removed from her bedroom and transported into a dimly public space smelling sweetly of alcohol. The weight of Eris' arm over her shoulders is comforting if not familiar, something solid in this uncertain landscape.

Conveniently, there are two stools at the bar waiting for them. Kasumi takes her seat cautiously; there is a prickling sensation between her shoulders that gives her the feeling someone is staring at her.] Eris-san, I must say, I have never been to a place like this before. What might one do here?

[Eris sits on her seat with unnatural grace, for once using and showing her legs.]

Drink of course, what do you want to do? Watch movies?

[And what legs they are. It's not her they are staring at, Kasumi realizes, but Eris-san. She relaxes the slightest bit.] Perhaps, though we did not have many at the house. --I must admit, I hadn't thought what we might be doing. Do you come here, often?

[Tap, tap, tap on the counter; the man behind the counter is looking at them expectantly. Had they done something wrong?]

[Eris sure doesn't mind the staring. And sure there's a few men staring at Kasumi too. The goddess won't even ask about the movies.]

No, not really. But that's not important. A bar is a bar. [She turns to the man and smiles. The sort of smile that promise many things, none of them good. The sort of smile that have certain creatures in the jungle with long tails and stripes. The man pales, and Ersi smiles more.]

A white russian for me and my friend. [As he flees away to prepare their drinks Eris turns to kasumi.] Dont' worry. It's milk. well, mostly milk.

[Oh, that poor man, he must be shy, embarrassed just by Eris-san's gaze; when he returned with the drinks, he could not even look at them. Kasumi smiled reassuringly, anyway, finding kinship in his embarrassment. Eris-san was truly a force unto her own self-- going to her own pace and by her own rules. Goodness knows Kasumi was confused and had only known her a short time.

Milk was nice. She did not have the chance to drink it as often as she would like, neither her father or Akane enjoyed it. Kasumi picked up the glass carefully and sipped.] Oh! This is good. [Another sip.] What did you call it, ma'am? Something white?

[Oh yes, he works in a bar because he's a really shy man. Eris sips her drink.]

White Russian. it has that name because Russians love milk.

I see. [Aaaand another sip. Kasumi's cheeks are beginning to flush.] I believe I like this milk Russian beverage. Do you?

[Eris will notice that Kasumi is a lightweight; her drink is almost gone by this point and her smile looks a bit too wide to be polite.] Is it your favorite?

Really? I'm glad you do. You should also try certain beverage from San Francisco, it's made of fruit. [Mostly fruit.]

[Eris knows. and eris likes what she sees.] I like martinis more, to be honest.
