Well, bad friends generally try to manipulate you for their own gain.

But I didn't do that.

What did you do?

I suppose if they lie intentionally to hurt them, for starters.

Okay.... what else?

I mean, that's just the start, isn't it? After someone does that, who knows what they'll do?

What if they don't lie or ever actively try to hurt someone?

Disloyalty, lying to them, backstabbing... too many things to count, really.

What if they really don't think they did those things?

It's not so bad if it isn't intentional, I don't think. But if the friend is still hurt and upset, maybe try to undo whatever it is that hurt them? Or do something to make up for it? Apologizing usually works pretty well.

And what if undoing it means giving up something they think they really want? Something that's important?
