What do you do if, your whole life you've believed this one thing and then one day... you find out it was all a lie? That person you've always been super proud of actually wasn't so great?

I don't know how I'm supposed to get over this.

Really? The vast majority of people have things they regret deeply. A life they couldn't save, a world destroyed, a friendship ruined.

But if they have done good in your life, then you should judge them on that, not how pathetic their life seems to others.

He never did anything good in my life, he died before I ever knew him.

Because he was supposed to be a hero. Someone for me to look up to and be proud of, you know.

There are very few true heroes. Most given that title are simply men doing the best they can. If you must believe in something, why not believe in him?
