Wow, so I just realized I haven't really checked this place out in ages. I've been pretty busy, kinda running two jobs right now.

I know people here are from like, any time you can think of, but is anyone else living in December 2012 right now? I was just checking around online to see if that apocalypse thing has started in the countries where it's already the 21st, but I can't find anything.

So I guess that means it was fake? Crap, now I gotta get my Christmas shopping started.

So, uh. Looks like I'm back in Lima again. The whole army thing...didn't...really work out. [ he laughs, but it sounds very forced ] So, yeah.

Haven't had much time to get online lately. I didn't miss anything too exciting on the community, did I?

[[ so I'm doing a kind of timeskip thing for Finn. He's been away most of the summer-- down in Georgia for some army training, and then hitch hiking his way back to Ohio, so for him, he's not been accessing DDD for a few months. Feel free to agree with this and comment on how he's not been around, or say he's crazy and you guys were only just talking last week. Or whatever. xD ]]

[ the video starts and you see Finn dressed in coveralls, working in Burt's tire shop. The hood of a car is up and he's tinkering with something inside it, until a woman - his mom - walks over holding a brown paper bag ]

Finn, I brought you lunch.

[ he straightens up, turning to her with a smile ] Oh, thanks. [ he ducks his head so she can stretch up and kiss him on the cheek, then tells her to leave the bag on the side near his toolkit. As he cleans the oil from his hands, she tells him that she and Burt won't be home for dinner since Burt has a meeting to discuss his campaign plans ]

But you're okay to close up the shop by yourself, right?

Sure, it's fine.

You are a good boy. It's so great that Burt can rely on you to hold down the fort here while he's busy. I'm so proud of you, sweetie.

[ Finn tries to return her smile, but it definitely looks a little forced. As Carole wanders over to talk to one of the other workers, some music starts playing (who knows how) and Finn starts to sing, watching her with a sad expression ]

Told you I was joining the army, had no excuse
Seemed the right thing to do.
And you called me a fool,
Said I'd come back mean and cruel.
I said I just wanted to make my father proud
Even though he's not around.
Been gone since I was a baby.
I'm still worried what he'd think about me.

Playing the drums just ain't gonna cut it for long.

To me it all seems fair.

[ and just like that the strange musical quality of the video stops. Carole waves to Finn, giving no indication that she heard the song, and leaves.

With a small sigh, Finn grabs his lunch and heads to the back office so he can eat ]

Anyway. I have a question for you guys. How did you decide what kind of thing you wanted to do when you grew up? Like, how'd you know what to study at college, or what sort of job to go for?

[ the video starts, showing McKinley High's choir room. It's hard to tell where the video is coming from; it's clearly not someone recording this deliberately since it comes in halfway through a conversation.

--not a bear, it's a bush! Geez, what is it with you guys? [ although his audience is out of shot, there's a low murmur that suggests they're somewhere behind the recording device, heckling Finn's artistic skills (or lack thereof) ] Anyway, can I please finish telling you my plan? Okay, birthday breakfast should finish around nine thirty, we'll wash up and get ready and head outside, with Sam thinking we're all heading over to Puck's for a video game marathon. [ he motions towards the signpost in the picture ]

But! Blaine and Artie will be hiding behind the bushes, [ he shoots a Look towards the audience ] and it'll be like, surprise! They're coming too! Kurt, Artie's with us 'cause his chair'll fit in your car more easily.

So, we start driving, [ he points at the car in part two of the diagram ] and try and keep Sam distracted. It only takes about a half hour to get to Lakeview but obviously he's gonna realize something's up since Puck only lives a few blocks away. [ he shrugs ] I couldn't think of a way around that but whatever. Anyway, we'll get to the Indian Lake place around ten thirty, and Puck, Mike, Jesse, Rory, and Joe [ he points at each stick figure representative individually ] will already be there - Jesse can give you all a ride since he has to drive up from Akron anyway. And then we have paintballing fun all day, and afterwards we can eat the cakes my mom made. [ he plants his hands on his hips, grinning at everyone in the room ] What do you think?

[ replies will come an hour or so later! Sorry about the information overload with this post :'D And the image of the cake is just one I found online, although I wish it was mine xD ]

[ when the video starts it shows a girl none of you will recognize, but those of you who are good friends with Finn and have been to his house might well recognize the bedroom 'she' is sitting in. Yep, Finn has been caught with the genderswap virus, and right now 'she' is sitting at the desk, looking half asleep still and with unbrushed hair. It's pretty obvious he hasn't been awake long ]

Okay, so at first last night I thought it was pretty cool having these. [ he cups his breasts through the baggy shirt he obviously slept in ] Now I'm not so sure. Running up and down stairs hurts, and that was pretty much the worst night's sleep I've ever had. I never wake up before ten on a Saturday, but these stupid things just...get in the way, and sleeping on my front was super uncomfortable. Seriously, how do chicks live with them all the time? [ he pouts, then mumbles, ] They're not even that big.

So who knows what today is?

That's right, it's National Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day, also known as the best day of the year. Well, after Christmas, that is. And Easter, I guess.

Who else is excited?! I know what I'm eating all day.

What do you do if, your whole life you've believed this one thing and then one day... you find out it was all a lie? That person you've always been super proud of actually wasn't so great?

I don't know how I'm supposed to get over this.

[ the video clicks on and you see one Finn Hudson, waving at the screen. Oh, and he's also randomly dressed as Luke Skywalker! Feel free to ask about that ]

You know what would be awesome? Drum sticks...that look like lightsabers. [ he grins, clearly thinking this is the BEST IDEA EVER ] Right? It would be like, the coolest thing ever. I mean, I got this at the toy store, but it's too big and awkward to hit the drums right. [ he holds up a toy lightsaber, which has an obvious dent near the tip ]

 [You can hear music. Not the sort of music Kurt usually listens to, but obnoxious, loud rock. Very, very, LOUD. After a few seconds an irritated sight can be heard and that definitely sounds like Kurt. Then there's footsteps, and someone knocking on a door.]

Finn, the whole house is shaking. Turn down your music. Finn? Hey, FINN!. Agh... [Another irritated sigh, and the sound of a door being opened.] Finn I'm taking to y...Ah. Oh my god.

[As Kurt splutters his apologies, an unmanly yelp can be heard, followed by the thump of someone falling off a bed. Then, Finn's voice, slightly muffled,] Dude!

Sorry I...ah.

Get out! And knock next time!

[A door slams, and then there's silence.]

[ooc: so, Kurt accidentally interrupted Finn having some intimate time with himself.]

[ for once, let's have a deliberate video post! Finn grins at the camera - he's sitting on the floor in what looks to be his living room with his laptop propped up on the coffee table ]

Guys, check it out! I'm teaching Slushie a new trick!

[ aside ] C'mon boy, sit up. [ and said dog pops into view with a bark. Finn turns away and there's a rustling as he grabs a dog treat, then he holds his hand just above Slushie's head ] Okay, just like we practiced. [ he's trying to get Slushie to balance the treat on his nose but the dog is more interested in just taking the treat out of his hand ]

No-- c'mon Slushie, you can do this. Hey--! [ Slushie: 1, Finn: 0. Slushie crunches the treat up, then looks up expectantly for another ] Okay, we'll try it again. [ except the same thing happens again. And again. ]

Slushie! [ he looks back at the camera ] He did it earlier, I swear. Like five times. [ Slushie barks, staring at Finn's hand, and Finn looks back at him ] No, you don't get another one until you do the trick. Look, it's not that hard. [ and then Finn's balancing a cookie on his own nose. He jerks his head to flip the cookie into the air, which he then catches in his mouth, looking pleased with himself. He talks through the mouthful- ] See, 's easy!

[ unfortunately Slushie's now bored of this game, and after cocking his head at Finn, he turns and trots out of the living room ]

[[ OOC: This is...forward dated to after the Shadow Plot but I wanted to post it before this week's new episode, so uh. WIBBLY WOBBLY TIMEY WIMEY STUFF. :'D oh and also he is totally over that mono, because it is canon to handwave that kind of thing. >_>;; ]]


So one of the great things about having Kurt as a step-brother is that he has like, a billion different kinds of hair products. Did anyone else know you could get stuff to make your hair not frizzy, or to make it fluffier, or--

Not the point. Anyway, he's got loads. It took me ages to figure out what I might need to perfect my "anthem look", but I think I've got it.

[ he switches to video, and you can see that he's combed all of his hair forward and swept it slightly to the side in a (somewhat poor) imitation of Justin Bieber. He poses, looking off to the side briefly, then pulls up his hood to complete the look ]

So what do you think? Biebertastic, right? [ he grins, looking pretty pleased with himself ]

[ It's unintentional video post time! You see Karofsky at his locker; he shuts it and is about to walk away when Finn appears, dodging around some other students to get to where Karofsky is standing ]

Ah, thanks. It was a team effort. So, listen, uh... [ he looks a little unsure, hesitating before ploughing on] There’s no way the glee club’s gonna let you join permanently until you clear things up with Kurt, so I was thinking maybe we could go together to Dalton and apologize to him—

[ before he can finish, Karofsky interrupts, looking over his shoulder to make sure no one heard that ] Who said I wanna join the glee club permanently?

I just thought after this week and, and the way we won the game and the way you came out to dance...

What do you think? We all dance around together and win a football game and everything’s gonna change? Glee club’s gonna be cool and we’re all gonna sing hippy peace songs every morning?

Maybe? I don’t know, I...it’s a start.

[ the video cuts out as Karofsky shakes his head and turns to leave, leaving Finn standing there looking disappointed ]
