I was going to make the extra effort to warn those in my universe about the frankly suspicious cupcake, which I could only assume had been delivered to my friends as part of the same ploy, when I discovered this website. As others seem to be having the same issue, it's clearly a generation of this website, as opposed to other sources.
It doesn't mean I'm going to eat it all the same. Mysterious confectionery is never a good sign, whether originating from the expected individual, or from any unannounced others.
As I've only recently discovered this community, I haven't had the opportunity to introduce myself yet. The name's Dirk Strider and I still had nothing to do with this, Jake. That was considering the chance that you're not feeling entirely convinced yet, though I'm sure you've stumbled ass-backwards into unthinking credulity by now. That's ok: it works in my favour in this case.
Incidentally, if any of you work out what the purpose of these cupcakes are, I wouldn't mind finding out myself.

You can simply trigger the identifier, unless, of course, you're craving video chat. I did just complete my ablutions, after all. There's no better time.
Possibly. For all you know, that move was anticipated by whoever provided you with the cupcake.
You need to make sure you're appropriately armed before you experiment, at the very least.
