[shijima's voice. for a moment, there's only darkness, and then the video seems to auto-adjust to the lack of light - there's movement. a lot of it, and fast. shijima is fighting two boys, both frail, one short and one tall. she's fighting with - claws? fake claws, attached to her knuckles like rings. there's something distinctly inhuman about the way she fights; she leaps and lunges and arches her back, does everything in a blindly animalistic way. she slashes one of the boys across the face, and while the two of them regroup, she waits.]

To you... Is death a fear? Or is death a hope? [there's something strange about her posture; her arms hang limply in front of her, back arched, shoulders pulled inwards. and then suddenly, she lunges at them, speaking casually even while she fights.] Is there something you want to protect that's even more important than death? Or is it that death itself is something rare to you? No, it being that would still leave some questions unanswered. If you want to disappear, wouldn't death be rather something you would avoid?

[everything stops. shijima smiles gleefully, wide and unnerving.]

How do you... Who... Who are you?

[and they jump right back into the vicious, fast-paced fighting while shijima continues to chat.]

I am Kurookano Shijima. Outside of this school, I am nobody.

[the tall one manages to catch her by her arm, and seems to have her in a bad position - but she lunges forward and clamps her teeth down on his leg - the bite sinks deep, and she must have bitten hard to draw so much blood so violently. the smaller boy pulls her off, she whirls around to scratch him, the taller boy points a finger at her and -

CRACK

- there is a sickening noise of bone breaking, muscle and tissue and skin tearing, exploding. shijima's left arm doesn't just fall off, it gets blown off her body violently, and lands some distance away. everyone stops again. shijima pauses to look at her lost arm, the stump bleeding profusely in her sleeve, blood dripping from the ends of it and pooling on the floor.

silence.

shijima starts to giggle suddenly, and she turns back to the boys, to the video - her eyes are inhuman, catlike; impossibly wide, pupils slitted, glowing yellow. she licks the blood from her lips and she... just laughs.]

Alright, two questions. One, are you alright... erm, obvious things aside - and two, are you gonna be able to reattach that arm?

[she tilts her head at him, and just for this... her eyes aren't going back to normal at all. she's getting too tired to hold onto her human shape, so it won't matter if she stops straining herself for a moment in this conversation.]

But no, to answer your question... it is possible. There's a limited window of time unless you're able to preserve the tissue somehow, and in your timezone it'd be more difficult than it would elsewhere, but if you find a good enough surgeon - or someone who's got that sort of magic, I suppose - then reattaching your arm shouldn't be that big of a problem. You... might wanna find some way to stop that bleeding in the meantime, though.
