[video] + [Action Spam for Jane and Thor]

[The video clicks on to reveal a very giddy looking Darcy.]

Hello everyone! I have someone to introduce you to. [She pauses and leans down next to her. In a second she sits back up, this time holding a teacup pig in her arms.]

I want you all to meet Mister Oinkums! [Mister Oinkums snorts softly and nudges the crook of her elbow. HE IS BEING ADORABLE AND CUDDLY, OKAY?] Thor was thinking of eating him the other day, and after saving him I just couldn't leave him in that pet store.

Say hello, Mister Oinkums! [She waves his front hoof for him, smiling like a madwoman.]

[Action]

[So Darcy's just chilling with Mister Oinkums at the table while munching on some chips and browsing on her phone. Care to notice the new mascot?]

My brother and I have kept many pets over the course of our years, but never anything like that.

Thor had a rather large wolf he kept insisting was a dog, there was a small collection of stray cats at one point, horses - though I'm not sure "pet" is the word you'd use for the latter.

We tried to point out the obvious problems involved but he didn't really want to listen.

He met an untimely demise by eating a snake I was keeping. Apparently, it was venomous enough to fell a beast even of that wolf's size.

I was furious at him for having let it happen, and I imagine he wasn't so thrilled either. However, as I hadn't really told anyone I had been keeping the snake, that meant there were few I could complain to.

It was many years ago, now.

I could see the advantages.

I'm not sure it's the most comforting thought, but I suppose you're right.

It doesn't matter.

[no, really, it doesn't.]

[...]

It's fine. In any event, I hope that your new pet does not take up too much of your time, unless that was what you were hoping for.
