[The King of Camelot is pacing restlessly in his chambers, looking more than a little perterbed.

Finally he strides over to his desk and opens a book, grabbing up a quill.

However...he doesn't write anything, staring into space for a for moments, before finally speaking aloud.]

"I think I've made a horrible mistake."

[Arthur's more than a little shocked to hear the voice...and even more surprised to see Rose in his book.

This duck thing is insane...and probably magical, but he is in a bit of a spot here.]

"I think...I feel like my Uncle gave me poor advice." [That might be understating things a bit.]

"He recommended that we...I take a harsh approach towards the king of Caerleon when we caught him raiding within Camelot."

[Arthur makes a face, the approach in question is something he finds distasteful even a week after the fact.]

[This is normally not a topic one brings up with the fair sex. But duck people seem different, still, Arthur hesitates a bit before finally saying.]

“For raiding,“ [Arthur is quick to emphasize.]<\i> “Not to mention breaking treaty conditions and encroaching on Camelot‘s soverignity.“

[All of those are very serious crimes, which is exactly what Uncle told him.]

“You would have done differently.“ [It‘s hardly a questipn.] “You agree with Queen Annais.“

You don't seem like you still agreeing with your decision, either.

[Arthur gives a rueful smile.] “You‘re right about that... Only I think it‘s something my father would have done. The law was absolute to him.“

[Not that Arthur always agreed with that approah either, but things are different when you‘re king.]

“I seem to have made a complete mess of it.“

It...isn't going to be very easy to fix. Taking someone's life is a very big thing.

But that doesn't make it impossible.

[Arthur peers at Roze with interest.] "Do you think so? Queen Annais is all ready marching upon us. We are due to meet at the border in a few days."

It is, if you're willing to take responsibility. You can't be defensive for what you've done, you have to admit that what you did was a horrible mistake.

[Arthur nods, his eyes lighting up with determination.]

"Good point...I won't risk the lives of my men for my mistake."

[Another familiar face! Although they haven't spoken that much, Ariadne seems to have a good head on her shoulders, maybe she can help him figure this out.]

[Arthur flops down in a chair and peers into the book, still have trouble with the whole being able to see Ariadne face when she's nowhere near where he is.]

"With Queen Annais of Caerleon. She wants revenge."

"A week ago we caught her husband, the King, leading a raid across our borders. I thought perhaps a few weeks in our dungeons would give him cause to reconsider doing something like that again. But my Uncle...Lord Agravaine felt we should make an example of him."

[He pauses for a while and fiddles with the ring on his right hand.] "He's proved invaluable to me over the past year so...I took his advice."
