[Well, here's something the community doesn't see every day. The King of Camelot on screen.

There's another thing the community doesn't see every day.

The King has a bird on his head.

Not just any bird, but an falcon.]

"Duck people...if you can hear me and I hope you can

...

Why is this bird on my head?"

[For the curious and amused this type of falcon is called a Merlin]

[The King of Camelot is pacing restlessly in his chambers, looking more than a little perterbed.

Finally he strides over to his desk and opens a book, grabbing up a quill.

However...he doesn't write anything, staring into space for a for moments, before finally speaking aloud.]

"I think I've made a horrible mistake."

[Arthur is still unused to wearing the crowns of the King of Camelot. There were several available aside from the dreadful coronation crown, but not one of them was the least bit comfortable.

He tried the circlet one again, which really shouldn't be any different to the Crown Prince's circlet but for some reason it was.

With an annoyed huff, Arthur yanks the crown from his head and throws it aside.]

"You shouldn't worry so much about the crowns, dear. It's not them that make the king anyway."

[Arthur turns and smiles ruefully at the woman who has appeared in the doorway of his chambers. The family resemblance is startling, the woman having the same delicate features, blond hair and blue eyes.]

"So you say Mother, but as Gorlois never tires of telling me there's a certain expectation by the other kings."

[The woman, Ygraine, Queen of Camelot laughs and shakes her head walking over and patting her son on the cheek.] "You'll do fine."

"Sure and miracles will happen."

[The Queen's faith is not shaken.] "Yes, miracles do happen, my son." [She kisses his cheek.] "Now hurry up, you don't want to be late, what sort of impression will that make?"

[Arthur gives her a knightly salute.] "I'll do you proud, Mother." [And with that he leave his chambers, heading for the Council Chambers, head held high.]

(OOC: This is a mixture of the 'Rewind' Virus and the 'What If' virus. The what if being if his father's life had been taken rather than his mother's as part of the magic deal that led to his birth. The rewind being that he's now 21 having just come of age and been declared king in his own right. Have fun with him!)

[Arthur certainly has no idea how he managed it, but fellow community members will be treated to him suddenly appearing wide eyed on whatever device allows the to communicate.]

"Duck people? Duck people I need help, right now, this second!"

[Another voice sounds from off screen.] "REALLY, there's no need to be such a clotpole about it, it's fine. You're overreacting as usual."


"Be quiet...you..." [Arthur is obviously thoroughly confused at what to address this person.

Suddenly another face pops into view, one wearing a rather similar expression to Arthur.]

"Are you talking to a book? Has a sorcerer got to you? You gotta be careful of sorcerers!"

[Arthur attempts to move the boy out of the way.

There's footsteps as the other person in the room comes into frame.]

"You're both being ridiculous, but at least he-" [He points to the boy.] "Is only ten, I'm not sure what your excuse is." [He addresses Arthur.

Arthur turns back to the screen.] "They think they're me! What is this?! I need them gone now!"

(Younger Arthur will be played by bitofaclotpole and Older Arthur will be played by albionsclotpole. Enjoy series!Arthur's distress!

[The view will be continually blocked as various items of clothing are tossed over the lens.

There is a lot of muttering every so often there's an annoyed grunt.

Finally Crown Prince Arthur will appear in frame looking very irritated indeed.]

"Where the Hell...Merlin? Merlin! Get in here!"

[A few moments pass and it becomes clear his servant isn't going to show up any time soon. Throwing his hands up in despair Arthur returns to his hunting.]

"Stupid circlet."

Why ducks?

Winry woke at the sound of a rooster’s crow. She lay still for a few seconds, blinking, hating the idea of leaving her warm bed, but if she didn’t get up, her first customer would be angry at her for being late to the smithy. Rolling over, Winry nudged the lump in the bed next to her. “Wake up.”

There was a grumpy little sound in response.

“Wake up.” She nudged a little harder, getting another grump. “Wake up, Merlin, or I’ll tickle you awake.”

He grumbled and pulled her closer. "No. Prat can wait several more minutes for his breakfast. Castle's not far off." He smiled at the feel of her, always so earthy and lightly of fires. "I'll find that time reversal spell so we could sleep in more?" he offered hopefully.( More waking up cuteness. )

I'll cut right to the heart of the matter: I need to know how to send a "worldhopper" back to where he came from.

[The video feed engages and it's Arthur chilling smugly in an armchair, hunting knife in hand.]

I knew you'd turn tail, bird man. Not that I blame you, of course. I wouldn't want to meet me in combat either.

The community as my witness, I'll consider this your dishonorable withdrawal from my challenge, [he says authoritatively.] Your transgression is forgiven with a free heart.



As for the rest [He points the knife at the feed.] of you, I have a request related to the google machine. I need one of you to put my name into it and tell me what it has to say. You have my gratitude in advance.

[And suddenly, elegant scripting! Moving across your screen!]

[It stops. After a short pause, the text haltingly begins anew.]

[And then it vanishes completely, only to be replaced with a video feed of a young man in particularly imperial regalia.]


What on earth? I can't even finish before something else appears!

[Out of pure aggravation, he reaches for his quill and crosses out (on the screen, by the way) the most recent entry as it magically appears. Something about packing for a trip away from home? Whatever. He didn't write it and it's currently taking up space on what's supposed to be his portion of a treaty with a neighboring kingdom.]

What is this, Merlin? Magical parchment Morgause left behind?

[He looks up questioningly when there's no reply.]
