[ there's some rattling and a long-suffering sigh. after a second, the community decides video would be better, but all you can see is a ceiling. boring, right? and then a young woman's voice comes in loudly - ] Charles! Or— wait, wait— [ she sits down on her bed - you can see a fairly plain, but slightly old-fashioned bedroom in the background - and stares at the laptop. after a long pause in which she scrolls, she clicks something and starts to type really slowly. with one finger. she gives a commentary under her breath while she types and frowns a lot. ] How do you use the other characters? Oh my god, this is the worst invention. The shift key doesn't even stay down - oh! I guess I just have to hold it? Uh - okay, this... Hm.

[ then she hits post. ]

Hello? Are these people even real? This is nuts. Charles is going to flip. If there's anyone on the other end of this... whatever, that actually exists, can you tell me what's going on here?

I didn't really mean to find it. Is it the typewriter-computer thing, or the part that has the pictures and videos?

... Wow. Either Italy hasn't caught up to the rest of the world in a few hundred years, or it's not 1962 there. If this is real, I mean. But it's a little elaborate for a prank.

[Ezio turns a little to look at his room, cocking an eyebrow a bit before replying.]

Only a little. People sort of dropped the ball in about the 1500s. [ but she's grinning enough that it's obvious she's joking. ] So... Ezio, huh. And I really am connecting to other times. I didn't know anything like this was possible... I doubt Charles will even believe me if I try to tell him.

[There's a pause as he tries to think, brows furrowing a little.] Sì, I would not mind. A professor is like a scholar, correct?
