I would assume the celebration part would remain the same, but things are still vastly different than they were in my time.

People watch you two say some mushy stuff and everyone dresses fancy, but never fancier than you two, and they bring you stuff. You buy everyone food, drinks and entertainment.

Oh--I'm sorry, I forgot our concepts of things like this are a little different.

In most cases people have only one kind of romance, like your, er...red quadrant, I think it was. And usually, they have but one individual so significant to them--marriage is something like an oath to remain with each other for the rest of their lives.

Western wedding are as popular as traditional Japanese weddings nowadays. I suppose I would say, when two people love one another they might choose which traditions suit them best.
