Well, destroying your world isn't really implausible. But making a new one itself would be rather complicated. And you're right, it doesn't seem likely.

Maybe... I've just never heard of a world being created from a game, so its a little hard for me to picture.

Well, the closest we've actually come to creating a world is by using hollowed asteroids or just building on a new world. We've never really made something that large before.
