[ Natsume's walking through what looks like a forest with an umbrella in his hand, his notebook that has access to the community in the other. He stops near a tree while it's still raining lightly and talks. ]

I just wanted to let everyone know that everything turned out okay. I guess I worried some of you with my last post...

[ There's a pause, then Natsume looks out around the rain. ]

It's Sunday here so I don't have school and I wanted to show everyone something that I saw the other day. It only happens when it rains and the sun comes out. It looked light enough that I think it should soon.

[ Natsume keeps standing there while the rain keeps drizzling lightly, looking a little disappointed that the sun hasn't come out yet. Seriously it must be like 6 in the morning. Natsume shrugs one of his shoulders like he's trying to brush something off (for those with spiritual abilities, they can see it's a little green youkai that looks like a frog with really long legs and a paper mask over his face and a straw hat that had hopped onto his shoulder just because it was there. To everyone else it probably looks like he was trying to shoo a small bug though. Still waiting, so Natsume speaks up again. ]

I guess while we wait, I'll ask a question. What kinds of places are your favorites to visit near where you live?

[ Almost as soon as he asks the question though, the rain seems to let up so Natsume looks up and closes his umbrella, glancing at a field behind some of the trees he's in between as he moves the camera to show the field. As the sun starts to come out, the whole field seems to slowly light up. ]

[She smiles...it's good to hear that.

As she walks, the book moves around a little.] There aren't many, we always had to depend on traders for most of our foods.

[It may be kind of a long walk.]

[ Natsume doesn't mind. He's used to long travel times and just spending time with his cat. Roze's nice company. ]

Traders? [ Like way back in the day.. sometimes Natsume forgets about the technology barrier. ]

There weren't very many of them but they would come through with what they had and trade with us. [After things got a little better, before Cornello was exposed as a fraud.] It's how we got a lot of our better things.

[spiritually]

That sounds rough. I'm glad it turned out okay, though.

[makewayforroze]

It wasn't very bad. We would get the chance to see a lot of new things and most traders love to share stories.

[spiritually]

[ A soft smile. ] I like hearing stories from others.

[makewayforroze]

[The buildings behind her are thinning out now. They're getting closer to the edge of town. As she talks, Roze smiles as she remembers.]

So did I. We would all gather around them and listened while they talked about large cities and strange places they've been.

[spiritually]

Did you ever want to travel yourself?

[makewayforroze]

A little, sometimes. Leaving was always a little scary and I thought I would live here forever but...I would want to visit those places, to see them.

[spiritually]

[ The opposite of him. He spent his whole life traveling back and forth across Japan. He'd rather stay here now. ]

When Culver gets a little older, do you think you might?

[makewayforroze]

[The sand begins to harden in some places and becomes almost like normal ground, though with harsh cracks. Roze knows she's almost there, now.]

Travel? [She looks surprised. Really...she'd never thought about it.] I...don't know.

[spiritually]

If you want to, maybe you should. I used to move around a lot, but I think I'm done now.. but I don't regret being able to see all of those places.

I've always wanted a home and a family. I might think of travelling later but for now, I have Resembool, Loire, and Culver.

Oh, here they are!

[And she turns the book around. Scattered in the ground, as if a desert flower bed, were a mixture of yellow and purple flowers. They're beautiful, if for nothing else than how unique they are.]

They said they only grow in the desert.

[spiritually]

Having a home and a family sounds perfect to me.

[ Natsume stares out at the flowers, amazed. That mixture of flowers, each standing out against each other from the contrasting colors, is beautiful. ]

That's amazing, Roze. We have a flower field near here, but it's nothing like this.

Resembool has flowers everywhere but these don't grow there. I remember coming here as a child and just looking at them.

[spiritually]

I wonder why they can grow here and nowhere else?

[makewayforroze]

I'm...not sure. I didn't travel anywhere else to find they didn't until I was older.

[spiritually]

Have you ever made crowns with them?

[makewayforroze]

...Not since I was a child.

[Then she laughs and sets the book down, though Natsume can still see the flowers.] I'll make one now.

[spiritually]

You'd look good with one.

[makewayforroze]

I'm glad you like them because the first one is for you. [He'll see Roze shooting him a smile.]

[spiritually]

For me?

[ He looks surprised. But he likes flower crowns okay!! He'll wear them with her all day. :T ]

[Her hands work fast. Some things you never forget.]

...Nyanko-sensei would probably eat it, we'd better skip one for him.
