Video || Enter Lea
[The screen flickers on to a sleek, white room with an odd contraption on the opposite wall. In the room are three people; a man with silver hair dressed in a lab coat, a man with brown hair in some kind of guard's uniform, and a man with red hair in a black cloak. They seem to be in the middle of some kind of argument...]
"-And we haven't turned up anything in the last three weeks! I don't know where to go because you haven't found anything, and I can't keep hopping from world to world just HOPING to find something there!"
"We're doing the best we can, Lea, but there just isn't enough data on the server."
"Bullshit! Xehanort put everything he knew about the different worlds onto this piece of junk. Are you sure that you haven't skipped anything?"
[The cloaked man - Lea - gestured to the camera with a dramatic wave.]
"I'm looking at everything I can, Lea, I promise. Xehanort was only interested in finding worlds with the "seven princesses", so the data on this is primarily about those worlds. There's other notes - about us, about other potentially useful worlds - but the worlds we have data on is limited in scope."
[Lea grumbles angrily as he turns and walks towards the camera. He leans forward and pounds his hands on the sides of the keyboard angrily.]
"There's got to be something, though... He was interested in the Seven Lights, so he should have at least 'some' information about where to find them. It's got to be in here somewh - Oh you've got to be kidding! Ienzo, why are you on a chat site?!"
"A what?"
"A chat site! It's right here, you didn't even try to hide it! Is this what you've been doing?"
[The man in the lab coat - Ienzo - approached and leaned in next to Lea curiously.]
"Lea, there isn't anything on screen except the data files."
"Of course it is, it's right here! Don't pretend it's not here!"
"Lea, there isn't any chat site on screen. Why are you insisting there is?"
[Lea threw up his hands angrily and turned to the stone-faced man who had yet to say anything.]
"Aeleus, have you been using the computer for chat sites?"
"No."
"So it has to have been you, Ienzo! Don't try to deny it! Why are you on social sites when we're supposed to be looking for information on the missing Keyblade wielders?!"
"Are you feeling okay, Lea? Maybe you should lay down..."
[After a drawn out argument about Lea's health and the apparently invisible chat site, Lea throws up his hands again in exasperation.]
"Forget it, I don't care anymore. If you want to pretend you can't see it, then fine. Just... go see if the library has anything else to offer. I want to see if I can find anything else that you might have missed."
"I highly doubt it, I've gone through every file... Please, get some rest, you're starting to seriously worry me."
"Just let me look, dammit."
[With that, Ienzo and Aeleus leave, leaving only Lea to lean over the computer again and sigh.]
"I have no idea why Ienzo is lying to me... nobody else has used this computer today. Let's see... Huh? Is this recording?"
[He tapped the camera lightly, brow furrowed, then shrugged and lowered his hands to the keyboard. After a few movements of the mouse, though, he noticed something else.]
"What the- it's recording live to the site? Oh, crap... How do I shut this thing off?"
[A after a bit of fiddling, and the feed finally cuts out.]

[ video ]
[ the question comes out as a rush, words almost tripping up on each other. he knows it probably sounds stupid, but - he has to see for himself. properly. he has to know it's actually real. it's taking all he has not to hurtle through a dark corridor right there and then as it is. ]
[ video ]
I'm a little sad you haven't already made it! We had a cake waiting, but Aeleus ate it all while you were taking your sweet time!
[The world wouldn't be so cruel as to make his fears come true, right? He gives another worried glance at the screen. If Ventus was from a different point in the time stream... No. He wasn't going to believe that, not until there was irrevocable proof.]
[ video --> action ]
[ and then the next moment, he's pulling on his dark coat and portalling through the darkness as fast as his legs will carry him. it's not long before he shows up in the same room Lea's in, panting a little from a combination of exertion and nerves. but-- light. he really is there. he's alive. Roxas barely knows what to say or how to react, so for a moment he just... stands there. stands there long enough that Lea might notice a couple of things about the kid now that they're seeing each other in person; Roxas is still short, but probably a couple of inches or so taller than he remembers, and about a year or so older in appearance. it's been a while, for Roxas. a long while. ]
I can't believe it...
[ action ]
It worked... I was so worried that the time stream was going to screw everything up, but it worked! Let me look at you...
[He released Roxas and took a step back so he could scan his old friend... and then there was that familiar smirk on his face.]
Still kind of small, aren't you? [He's completely forgotten about the fact that the video is still recording.]
[ action ]
Hey, I'm not that short anymore. [ he can't even pretend to be irritated, though, still beaming. ] And uh, I think the community sort of handles things when you world-hop between different times? I still haven't figured that one out.
[ he shakes his head slightly. ] What happened, anyway? Last time I saw you-- [ he pauses, and the smile finally drops off his face. ] I didn't think I'd ever see you again.
[ action ]
In a sense, you never did. But, here you are... Man, the world's gotten crazy. [The expression lifts, and he's grinning again.]
But if a crazy world is what it takes to see my best friend again, then I wouldn't have it any other way. And alright, fine, you've grown a little. Still not that tall, though.
[ action ]
I'll get taller. [ he raises a hand to prod his friend's arm. because he has questions and he wants them answered properly this time. ] You still haven't told me what happened to you.
[ action ]
Looks like this whole community thing turned out for the better. And anyway, you were the one who said not to tell you!
[But, despite the cheeky remark, his face is a bit downcast again. He clucks his tongue, trying to think of an appropriate way to explain it.]
Uhm... well, I'm a Somebody again. You knew that. I sorta... died. Saving Sora when he was going to finish off the Organization. And then... I woke up here. That's all I really know. [He's holding back the whole part about Roxas returning to Sora and the involved shenanigans, not sure if that's something he should mention when he's just gotten his best friend back.]
[ action ]
... I knew most of that already. What happened in Betwixt and Between, I... I saw it, sort of. Through Sora. [ he looks down, fingers curling slightly in the fabric of his coat at his sides. better not mention the fight he'd started with Sora in the middle of their heart right after that. ]
I thought Nobodies just... vanished into nothing for good. [ he raises his head again, meeting Lea's eyes. ] You really don't have any idea?
[ action ]
[Lea blinked slowly, hen frowned.] So... Wait, you split from Sora again? Why didn't you - Oh. Right. I was dead, wasn't I? Why go looking for a dead person. [He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, then sighs and gives a dramatic shrug.]
But really, I have no idea. I thought I vanished too, but... well, I woke up here. And all the rest of us, too. Needless to say, not being dead isn't terrible, so chin up alright? [He grinned a little and lightly lifted Roxas's chin.] I don't know how you have any friends if you always greet them with a sob story.
[ action ]
[ he lets out a short sigh, cutting off his own flustered outburst, and smiles ruefully. ] I'm happy to see you. Really, I am. I mean... I still have no idea how me and Sora were able to split again without something happening to him, so - even if we don't know how this happened to us, I know it doesn't matter.
Re: [ action ]
[He flicks out his hand to the side, and with a sudden flash of light, bam. Lea's holding a Keyblade shaped like a swirling flame.]
Turns out I'm useful for more than just cracking jokes now. Who knew?
[ action ]
You have a Keyblade now?!
[ action ]
A lot of stuff's happened since the last time we saw each other. World's back to being in serious trouble, and there had to be seven Keyblades to fight... turns out, I get to be lucky number seven. I'll have to tell you about it sometime... but not right now. Right now, I'm craving some Sea-Salt Ice Cream; there's a guy who sells it here in town. My treat?
[ action ]
[ even so, he's smiling. same old Axel - Lea - he guesses. he hadn't realised how much he'd missed him. ] You're on.
[ action ]
[And with that, he's leading the way out of the computer room - though not before remembering that the video feed was still running.] Oops, forgot about this. One second, let me cut the video.
[ action ]
... you left the video running, huh? [ why yes. that may be a bit of an amused tone in his voice. well, they were kind of preoccupied. ]
[ action ]
Yeah, well, the promise of getting reacquainted with a ghost from the past was a much more exciting prospect than bothering with the community. Let's hurry up, before Ienzo decides to come in and steal you for questioning.
[ action ]
Uh, but yeah, let's do that. Being questioned is the last thing I want right now.
[ action ]
We'll just let them think I found something and went out to investigate. Not completely inaccurate, really. There isn't really a clock tower to sit on around here, but I think the top of the castle will do just fine.
[ action ]
[ action ]
[And with that, he turns and walks through the portal.]
I don't think I said this yet, Roxas, but... it's great to have you back.
[ action ]
Look who's talking. [ and then he's all smiles again, because honestly. ] ... Thanks.
