(Mewtwo is hooked up in his power armor and is staring directly at the camera. He looks away for a beat to get his thoughts in order before speaking.)

I have seen that many of you have used this site to find personal answers. I, as much as I hate to say it around you humans, have a profound issue that I can not answer alone. So I want to ask you a few things in hopes of finding some answers...What is life? Is it decided by your origins? Can you only be classified as 'alive' if you are born a certain way?

(Mewtwo sighs heavily.)

How can one know why they came to be? I wish to hear your thoughts.

Sounds fair to me. But, wanting something to want's kinda sad... You really don't got somethin' you already want for itself?

Truthfully, that is what I truly want. There is one other want though. I want to prove myself to be stronger than my other. When I have fully learned my abilities, I want to seek out Mew and kill it.

"Mew" ? "Other" ?

(Mewtwo sighs a little.)

The circumstances of my birth are not natural. I was created in a lab from the genetics of Mew, the ancestor of all Pokemon. I call Mew my other as I am a clone of it.

What's with that sigh? That's nothin' to get down about! You're the new model! The improvement!

(Mewtwo scoffs a little at that.)

An improvement, hmm? That is what those scientists said I was. That I was stronger than Mew. But when you think about it, am I not still a shadow of Mew?

I don't even know what a Mew or a Pokaymun is.

A Pokemon is a form of monster in my world. They come in many shapes, sizes, and types. They also live everywhere in the world, even the places where no human can live.

Mew, as I said before, is the ancestor of all Pokemon. It is a special category of Pokemon known as a Legendary Pokemon. Meaning unlike other Pokemon, there is only one Mew and it is naturally more powerful than most Pokemon.

Hnnn... So what's so bad about bein' a descendent of that? Sounds like most of you guys came after him or from him or whatever anyway.

(Mewtwo's eyes glow a little as the camera shakes and parts of the room get crushed.)

That is the problem. I was not born a Pokemon. I was made one. I am a freak compared to the rest of them. I was cloned directly from Mew in some experiment that was held by humans just to see if they could do it. Foolish humans who want to play god.

Kh--H, hey, calm down before you cave the roof in on yourself there!

(The room stops being ripped apart but Mewtwo's eyes still shine a deep blue that is visible through his visor.)

You underestimate me. Even if I destroyed this whole building I would not suffer any injuries. My powers protect me from far more damaging things than a simple roof falling on me.

Not too shabby... So. Just what kinda powers do you Pokemon got, anyway? Shaking stuff without touching it. Durability. Anything else special?

You misunderstand. It is not that I am so durable that I would get no injury but that not a speck of debris would reach me. In fact, I have been in hundreds of fights with other Pokemon and not one has been able to even touch me. I am a Psychic Pokemon, so I can do more than just 'shaking stuff without touching it'.

(To make his point, the table near Mewtwo is ripped to shreds and the pieces float around Mewtwo, each moving at a different speed and in a different direction.)

This is but a fraction of my powers.

As for the powers of Pokemon, it depends on the type and race of the Pokemon. Some can breath fire, use lightning, cause earthquakes, there are even Pokemon that can fire a beam of pure concentrated energy.

[There's a whistle as he leans back in his seat, eying the floating, differing pieces of the debris.]

And you're one of the most powerful one of those, eh? In that case who cares about being a shadow. You got a better chance of doing what you want than any of 'em.

I am the most powerful Psychic Pokemon to exist.

I care because it is a gnawing madness that I am having trouble escaping. It is always on my mind. I suppose it shouldn't surprise me that you don't understand. Not many can say they are shadows of another life.

[That earns a snort that almost inexplicably threatens to break into an all out laugh.]

(Mewtwo's eyes glow with new found energy and Greed can see a nearby chair crushed into a fist sized ball.)

And what is so funny?

[He tries to wave it off, looking impressed in a way one can only be when completely safe behind a computer screen.] Nevermind...

So about you and Mew... You a perfect clone? A better clone?

(Mewtwo's glare remains full force.)

...I was designed to be better than Mew in terms of raw power.

Who'd call an improvement a shadow?

(Mewtwo releases his glare and looks down in thought for a good beat.)

...A valid point I suppose.

If anything, you gotta be worried about Mew One having some kinda inferiority complex and comin' after you! You're better. Science says so!
