I have been informed that is unfair to spend one of my Psychology classes playing nothing but Pink Floyd albums and not do the same for the rest. So, to my morning class tomorrow, please prepare to relax.

Of course, you will still have to analyze the Wall through the lens of Carl Jung's concept of individuation for homework. But during the class itself I encourage you to sing along to all the songs you know, and you will not be graded for pitch or accuracy.

The world rewards talented people, it's just how it works.

At my harp lessons, I reward students who are talented at music.

At psychology class, I reward students who study and do the work. This, thankfully, isn't television.

Then you should at least stop the people that sing badly.

I refuse. They're having fun.

But they're making it hard on everybody else to study.

I cannot offer the chance to sing and refuse it to bad singers.

Then teach them to sing better.

It isn't in the curriculum.

Isn't a teachers job to teach their students what they need to know for life?

I can only teach in one area per class.
