A moment of your time, if I may.
Earlier today, it came to my notice that certain books have gone missing from my dorm room.
Specifically, notebooks containing work that is intended for my eyes only.
Now, it is entirely possible that I have merely misplaced it somewhere while I was studying, however that still suggests that someone may have stumbled upon it.
I will be brief on this: I want those books back.
And if you have read any of it, you would do well to never let me know. I don't take too kindly to people reading what isn't intended for them.

How would one be able to identify these books?

They are rather nondescript save for the labels on the front in my handwriting warning people that the contents are not for their eyes.

Perhaps. I don't see any further evidence of a dragon presence in this room but perhaps he is merely a very considerate dragon when he's not eating what he shouldn't.

I don't think he is, no. If someone broke into your room you should tell the principal.

Then there would have to be appropriate consequences for the destruction of another's property.
Something which I would pursue, in this instance.

Potentially because they wanted to provoke a reaction from me, in which case they evidentially don't know me too well.
Possibly, they just didn't realise who they were dealing with.

What is it with the people I know rushing to insist it wasn't them when I hadn't actually accused them of anything to begin with?
If I thought it was you, do you not think I would have brought the matter directly to you?
Or at the very least made more of an effort to indicate I was talking about you?

This seems to be a reoccurring trend. Perhaps it would be paramount to inform the campus authorities if the thefts continue.

Perhaps. But I thought it would be somewhat presumptuous to trouble the authorities if it turned out to be nothing more than a harmless prank.
